This shop is nothing if not thorough. I came to them with a problem child and they were able to test everything and trace the problem other shops couldn't for my Audi.Beau was such a pleasure to work with and kept me updated along the way. Their cost is pretty reasonable and the testing is top notch. They don't do anything to risk their reputation and make sure that the solution is the actual fix for the problem before releasing it so that it won't break down on you again.Very appreciative of them for being able to take care of it locally. Towing the car to Fife to get it to the nearest Audi dealership would have been a nightmare.Thank you Olympia Autohaus!!

Great staff. Our Mini Cooper just came off the boat in a PCS move from overseas and had a plethora of problems. We called them while trying to chug her home. What a challenge. We talk to Brian who arranged an appointment with the shop. The Team did a thorough check, made the proper repairs and now she is better than ever. They are polite, respectful and very informative. They also made future recommendations on how to keep her (Sarah our Mini) up to date. We certainly do appreciate their excellent service. ?❤️??

Very, very rude over the phone. I had a diagnostic performed by another mechanic and was told that it was the Break Booster failing. They were unfortunately unable to service my car because it was an Audi. I called around and there are plenty of places who demand a diagnostic but then cannot actually do the work because it’s a German car. I was told this place could. So I called them and told them the issue. Asked if they can even do the work (like I said most places cannot). I wanted just a ball park number of how much the repair would be IF it was the break booster like other legitimate mechanics have already diagnosed. Is it around $500? Closer to $3-6k? They refused to even give me a ballpark without charging me $150 for a diagnostic. I tried to explain that I already know the problem, I need a price point to even see if I can begin to afford the repair. Was told not to come in then unless I could afford it! I pushed back that I cannot know if I can afford it without a ballpark on possible price for repairing a break boost at that location. Then the receptionist rudely tells me 10k, in a condescending manner. I asked is that really the price ballpark? And he responded no, that he won’t give me even a ballpark without the $150 diagnostic first.Sounds to me like these people will scam you out of money if they cannot even give you a general idea of what repairs at their shop MIGHT cost up front.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

If you're expecting the kind of service where a white coated mechanic meets you at the door with a clipboard at 8:58am for your 9:00am appointment, and then says , "Your car will be ready today at 4:30", but it's actually ready to go at 3:15, with a mint chocolate on the dashboard, well...this isn't the place. That's not bad, though. It's a much more laid back experience here. Organic, even. It's clear Nate and the other folks truly LOVE cars. The shop smells like bearing grease and exhaust, and it's glorious. If you do own an air cooled VW, this is the place to take your ride. It's really comforting to know these peeps adore your old T2 or Bug or Ghia just as much as you do. They service other foreign makes too, apparently, but my experience has been with them working on my old VeeDubs. Prices are really fair, given how much parts cost. The work is solid. Everyone is nice. You can't set your watch to them, but you can trust them with your car. Yeah, you might wait a few weeks to get in, but it's worth it.

I implicitly trust these guys, they went above and beyond when I asked them to swap the clutch and cable in my 1987 Volvo Wagon. They ran into an issue where part of the driveshaft needed replacement due to damage from bolts loosening and it wobbling, so they went to great effort to chase down a used part from a junkyard to replace the damaged one. The car was better than ever when returned to me, and a week later I was parking it in a grocery store lot when a smiling fellow came up to me and asked "How's your transmission feeling?" I asked him if he was a Volvo guy, and he said he was really a VW guy, but he was the mechanic who worked on my car, and he was wondering what I thought since he had replaced the fluid and adjusted the shift linkage - and only charged me for the fluid since he liked working on the car. Autohaus mechanics are car people who like cars, and respect that you care about your car. I would trust them with anything vintage, old or unusual, and they probably do great work on mundane newer cars as well. Labor prices slightly higher than others per hour but extremely worth it.Service: Transmission repair

My heart is so happy! After 3 years of issues with grandma's car, these boys have her running like a dream. BO has been my buddy. Keeping communication on point and explaining all repairs completely. I highly recommend the quality work from Olympia Auto Haus

I'm still in debt for the thousands upon thousands of dollars I have put into my bus with them over the last seven years. I called today (April) for what I think will be a really easy repair and they said they are booked until mid August. Jill is gone. There was a new guy up front who didn't seem to care. Apparently Jordan is the only mechanic left who works on older cars. There was always a few week wait in the past, but 4 monthes is just rediculas. So disappointed.Services: Auto engine diagnostic

I've never been let down by this professional establishment. They're always willing to work with you and figure out how to get your project back on the road.

If I could give them NO stars I would. I bought a used Volvo and took it to them for an inspection. When I picked up my car they had a list of recommended repairs totaling over $4000! most of which they told me needed to be done immediately for the safety of car. I then took the car to another shop of a family friend and had the same inspection done because I could not afford these suggested repairs but was concerned to drive it. The 2nd shop not only told but showed me all the repairs the Autohause recommended. Only one from their list was actually in need of being replaced!! Plus they missed the crack in my oil pan and 2 slashes in my tires that actually are a safety issue. They also did an oil change after I asked them not too. When confronted about this they blew it off as a misunderstanding, ya one that cost me an extra $200!! I feel very taken advantage of by the Autohaus and angry that did such a poor job.

Best auto place downtown; especially for foreign cars.

They were nice and professional. They were only doing an inspection to tell me what I need to fix on my 2010 mini, but also fixed a small problem I caused at no extra charge.

Bought a used Audi Q5. Took it to these guys to look it over and do any needed preventative maintenance. Very impressed with their communication, explanation, and education on my car and the maintenance needs. I don’t feel like they tried to sell me anything I didn’t need and they called to update me every step of the way. It’s nice to find good people with solid work ethic. We’ll definitely continue to use and recommend!

Nate was a pleasure to work with! They serviced my 2017 Fiat 500 after it got rodent damage. It took ages to get an appointment here, but that wasn't specific to this shop - no one locally had either the expertise, confidence, or availability to see my car in a timely fashion, just seems to be the industry right now. I am glad Nate worked with me to schedule out and hold an appointment while I called around for other options that they recommended. Olympia Autohaus had to work with my comprehensive insurance which prolonged the payment side of things, but ultimately they got the work done quickly once my car was admitted for the appointment. They are actively working on addressing staffing capacity, but note that limited staff is not specific to their shop and rather to the whole industry right now. I was able to get a hold of folks by email, phone, and text for updates. They are a very chill and friendly yet professional shop. These folks clearly love what they do because when I went to pick up my car Nate was expressive and excited and showing me pics of the work and even brought out a whole part to show me that was removed due to those pesky nibblers. So glad to have my Fiat back!
