Placed an online order for pick up, and the order was filled quickly. I called when I arrived at the store and asked if someone could bring it to my car since I was recovering from an injury. Staff were friendly, loaded the order in my car, and even added a little sample treat for my dog. Mud Bay's friendly, knowledgeable staff are why they're my local go-to pet place!

Used to come here all the time when they were open, it was across the street from my old Job (Lochness glass shop)! Staff are so nice & very knowledgeable about cats! Was sad when they shut down but go to the one by the mall & off Martin Way (hawks prairie) often!

Generally overpriced but I recently purchased a laser pointer that didn't work properly right from the beginning. Expected better quality. Silly me, didn't get a receipt so I'm stuck with it. Not shopping here again; will stick to Petco.

After receiving difficult unexpected news at the emergency vet close by we took our dog in to get “treats” and goodies, our three year old daughter wanted to spoil her and send her off to heaven with a goodie bag. Our girl was spoiled by the staff before they even knew the situation… Everyone in there was so kind, and I just wanted to give them the shoutout they deserve. Thank you for your kindness and generosity today! Our girl loved the ice cream, treats and ball!

Great pet store. We stopped in to get a harness for our dog, who recently started pulling so hard on her leash she was choking herself. The store and staff were friendly, and let us try the harness on her, to insure a proper fit. They offered some treats, and had a great selection. Pricing was on-par with what I would expect to spend online, which was appreciated. If I lived in Olympia, this would be my go-to pet store, and if I need anything next time I pass through, this is where I’ll be headed.

I am leaving 5 stars because I assume the staff at this store is doing their best and cares deeply for their customers just like the other stores I have worked in and been a customer at. Kudos to the store staff for keeping up the good work in spite of everything that is happening. You make Mud Bay what it is and for that you deserve all the recognition. I know how hard you work. The rest of this review is for upper management because they need to know what they are doing to store staff across an entire company.Lars and Marissa, you have ruined what was once a wonderful, magical, meaningful store culture. You have broken it beyond repair. It's gross and disappointing.I am deeply disheartened by Mud Bay's upper "leadership" (if you can call it that). After being told that hours and store staff would be the LAST thing touched due to the financial crisis MB is in, execs immediately gave store staff ultimatums regarding their hours and are offering the most pathetic severance pay in order to avoid paying unemployment. Which, for the record, equates to their benefits, wages, ability to pay rent, afford groceries, etc.The folks who work in the actual stores are the lifeblood of this company. The staff who work in stores are people I admire, respect, and will get loud over. They deserve better than what the upper leadership at this company is giving to them by trying to weasel out of paying folks unemployment.Lars and Marissa - YOU made choices that got this company where it is right now. Store staff didn't spend all that money on bad investments. They hug customers while they cry over losing a pet. They celebrate new family members. They give the MBX even when they're being treated badly. They believe in what this company told them it was - what it COULD be.The store staff I worked with across Seattle changed my life for the better. They do not deserve to be pushed out of a company they believe in because you refuse to do the right thing. Here's one idea, free of charge - Move out of this fancy office space. You probably don't need a beverage fridge stocked with beer and sodas or a balcony that overlooks a river. Working from a community center or home could save some dollars. If nothing else, the absolute least you could do is take real ownership of what you've done to cause this and be honest with your staff. They're afraid because you are not actually leading. They're sad because they love working for Mud Bay and you're taking what they love away from them. They work hard for you. You owe them your honesty at the very least. Finally, before you leave me some empty platitude of a comment back to this, please know that there is nothing you can say to quell the storm you've sparked in my soul over these staff. Walk your talk, lean into your "values", and show your staff some respect, empathy, and real honesty. Mud Bay doesn't exist without them, and they want to be there. Show them you deserve them.

Looked around at most of the store, some prices seemed ok and did have a decent selection. I have an adopted stray cat that’s deathly scared of wands but really enjoyed the peacock feather. Kinda got destroyed on second night so I’ll be picking up a few more.
