Stay AWAY!!! Recently got 2 yards, 1 yard of their “premium” garden soil & 1 yard of 3-way topsoil, which is FULL of PLASTIC!! I’m not talking just a piece here and there, after this recent heavy rain, we’ve got plastic both soft grocery bag type and hard not bendable type all OVER the surface! See pics. After going thru the remaining 1.5 yards or so, I found metal scrap pieces as well!!!There are too many other places to get dirt. Now not only is our garden and new lawn spots FULL OF GROUND UP PLASTIC, I’ve got to figure out where I’m going to take the 1.5ish yards I’ve got left unused! It’s contaminated!!My girlfriend called Walwrath/Great Western and manager just blamed it on that being their compost vendors problem and they have changed where they get compost. But come to find out that’s a lie. Asking around friends/family came across others who’ve had same problem, got same answer, couple years ago!Stay away!!! I’ve got a whole video of my new garden and lawn just full of PLASTIC! Will try and resize and upload as well. I’m PISSED!

Easy to order over the phone and able to get material delivered quickly. All materials we've ordered have been good and as expected. We've ordered playground wood chips and nugget bark. Will continue to use them and recommend them.

Please do your homework and compare prices. They were more than double the cost of another local bark store. The delivery fee did not include an additional cost for fuel. The delivery and fuel was more than the bark.

Have gotten 3 different loads of their topsoil and garden mix, and like previous customers have stated, all of them FULL of weeds! I can't tell what's growing that I planted and what is growing I didn't. This is by FAR the worst dirt I've gotten. Will not be going back! Be ware. People were nice, the 30 seconds I had interaction with someone but their product is total GARBAGE!

My go to for rock and soil. Fair prices, quick loading. The only draw back is the loaders. They have a hard time retaining good ones. There is one who is excellent, the rest are ok.

Has anyone else had an issue with their Native Mix? All of my plants have been stunted. My mom and sister in-law also bought this mix and they are experiencing the same exact issues. We think the mix was too hot.Last year my garden was absolutely amazing with the same mix.... so incredibly disappointed.

I can never get a human being on the phone anymore been coming to this place for 15 years. My employees and I are going to start going to Black Lake Landscape Supply instead they are much more responsive and better with their customers.

Raised garden mix has a ton of shredded plastic in it. This is not what I wanted for my vegetable garden. Contains a mix of hard and soft plastics (like shredded bags) in a range of all different colors. I highly recommend going elsewhere for dirt that is going to be used for growing food.

Popped beads on both trailer tires after loading up 1 yd. sand. (Low air, my fault!)Charlie came to the rescue. Jacked up trailer, put tires back on wheels, aired them up, and I was on my way. Charlie went over and beyond true customer service! That's the reason I will continue my 25+ yr. business relationship with Great Western!Thanks, Karl G.

Love Great Western, always the best customer service and great drivers too! Anyone who complains about the products, we have always been able to go and see the dirt, sand, rock, etc we are purchasing, if you visit their business location and ask to look. I think they still allow that but it's been a few years. We just got sand from them via Ware To? and we are so happy!

We got cedar play chips and the process was super smooth and easy. Their prices are the most reasonable that I’ve found and the girls are the front office were super helpful. Would definitely use again!

Good service and large selection. 25 bucks for a pickup truck full of topsoil. Will definitely be coming back for all my bark/soil needs.
