If you're looking for a florist for your Lacey/Olympia/Tumwater wedding, stop reading right now, pick up your phone, and call Michelle at Finishing Touch. You won't regret it. But if you need more convincing, read on... My husband and I first met with Michelle a few months before our wedding. We had booked a weekend full of appointments with florists around Olympia to get a feel for what was out there and who could offer us the best services. Michelle was our first appointment. We arrived to find an energetic, bubbly florist who took us back to her work space and jumped right in. Before we knew it, two hours had flown by and we were overwhelmed with excitement. Michelle was grabbing flowers left and right, giving us visuals, and putting color combinations together for us (being the indecisive bride that I was, I hadn't yet finalized colors at the time of the appointment. My husband knew Michelle was a winner when she finally helped us end the months-long debate). She was also conscious of our budget and helped us make decisions that would give the best look for our price point. Michelle's passion was so exciting to us, and she really made us feel important and special. Isn't that what every bride wants? We left Finishing Touch feeling like our wedding was going to be the event of the year. We contemplated cancelling our other appointments, but Michelle actually urged us to visit more to get a feel for different styles. We went to our next appointment which only reaffirmed our gut-instinct to hire Finishing Touch. We realized that nobody in town was going to give us the same attention and quality that Michelle could provide. We drove straight over and booked her. Michelle was easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding and she made sure to finalize all the details. When there was a slight misunderstanding about set-up, she quickly came to an agreeable solution and made last-minute adjustments to accommodate us. I could not have been more pleased with my beautiful flowers on the day-of. My bouquet was luscious. The colors were spot-on, the flowers were healthy and beautiful, and the arrangement was exactly what I'd pictured. Everything was perfect, all the way down to the little details. All of the guys' boutonnieres had magnets instead of pins (did I mention that the other florist was going to charge an extra $7/piece for magnet closures!?). The bridesmaids bouquets were wrapped beautifully with ruffled ribbon and perfectly placed decorative pins (I mean perfectly. It's these little details that make an OCD bride smile ear to ear). The wrist corsages for the important gals had beautiful bracelets, not those chintzy prom-style elastics. There was a complimentary toss bouquet which was just as lovely as the bridesmaid bouquets. I could go on for days about the quality and detail of our flowers. I am so amazed that Michelle was able to provide all of this for our budget. Last but not least, I am incredibly thankful for the service that Michelle and the Finishing Touch staff provided during set-up. Things were a little chaotic at our wedding venue when Michelle arrived. She calmly set up everything she needed to. When she saw me in my dress decorating our wedding cake with flowers last minute, she quickly stepped in and said she was going to do it. Mind you, these weren't her flowers and this wasn't part of what we were paying her for, but she looked at me, told me to go finish taking pictures, and said she was going to handle it. It turned out beautiful and it was a huge relief. I really can't thank Michelle enough for adding so much beauty to our special day. It was such a blessing to have found her, and I can promise you if you go meet with her, you won't end up disappointed.
