I stopped yesterday for some planting garlic and Lindsey and the staff were extremely helpful to the point I went home with a planting guide they had made for customers. I can’t say how much I love this store and appreciate how much they care about their customers.

I was explained everything about the roses I bought by Lindsey or Lindsay ( unsure) did you all know roses had hips? Very knowledgeable staff.

Eastside Urban Farm and Garden is a fantastic place to buy plants and birdseed; that is what I mostly buy. I enjoy listening to the staff answer questions or politely point one in the correct direction. Upstairs is a fascinating experience. It is nice to just go browse through all the plants in a calming atmosphere.

Lovely shop all over. Beautiful plants, an amazingly extensive selection of fruit trees, herbs, and many different types of outdoor plants. The book section is vast and extremely helpful. The employees are so polite and helpful every time I go. The selection of homesteading supplies is so nice too, overall an amazing store and even a great sustainable selection of products.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!
I am extremely disappointed doing business with Eastside urban Farm and garden, we purchased 10 chicks from them earlier this year and yes, we understood that there’s a possibility we could get a rooster. This is a new venture for us. We spent hundreds of dollars getting shelter food and the brooding items to raise these chickens properly.. only to discover that we had been given six roosters and a hen that has been deformed to the point where it’s very difficult for her to feed. Since the majority of the chicks we purchased turned out to be roosters I contacted the store to see if they could compensate us or replace the chick with females.
Speaking with, I believe he identify himself as a store manager, he gave me an emphatic no there’s absolutely nothing they will do for us and we’re basically SOL. Extremely disappointed, all I wanted was replacement chicks to make up for their error. No attempt to resolve the issue or to come to any kind of agreement. Nothing just a flat no. Not even an apology. Wow.
We do not recommend doing business with this company.

I would love to continue to buy plants, shrubs & trees here: BUT for a place that has been in business for so many years, one would think the prices would be LOWER. Soooooo overpriced !!
Outrageously high prices FOR NATIVE PLANTS: ESPECIALLY!!!! Again: since they have been in business for so many years, there is NO excuse for their high prices especially their stock of Native plants!!!!
(eg. They are not a start-up w/attendant costs to cull & foster along native plants that they sell)
Also, I bought a dogwood from them 2 Yeats ago, (89.$) it never thrived in year 1. Rip Off!

Employees are unhelpful and know nothing about plants. They make up for their lack of knowledge with being rude and disrespectful. Great selection tho. Overpriced plants. If you don’t mind people being rude to you, it’s the place to go
