I took a Best Buy purchased laptop in to Best Buy Olympia today July 8, 2024. It was purchased August 2023 from them. The reason I have purchased computer supplies at Best Buy is because I could use Geek Squad for repair. The Geek Squad rep would not take my lap top to repair it because I did not purchase their warrant. I told them that is not a problem, I will pay cash for the repair. They refused to do the repair. Reminding, they found record of my purchase in their system in August 2023. Lesson learned here. Do not buy computers and supplies at Best Buy Olympia unless you want to buy their separate warranty. Sadly as a small business currently with ten laptops, we will buy from Costco going forward.

I went in with a device for repair, and I had already made arrangements with the call center for this repair. When I got there they wanted to charge me 500% more than I was quoted. I contacted the call center to verify the cost. The manager shouted and pitched a fit, stating the call center was wrong and he was right. It didn't matter that I drove several hours to bring in the device. Fortunately, a private vendor in the mall was able to fix the device for the same quoteed.price. What bothered me the most was the manager lied first about the cost, then second lied about the method of repair. Then the manager lost his temper and became extremely childish and unprofessional. I won't do business with any Best Buy again. I will go to Costco and Amazon because they actually back their protection plans.

My wife and I have had two excellent shopping experiences at the Olympia Best-buy Westside. Last week and this week. We initially went in to look at the Apple Watches. A service representative introduced themselves (Sir Rolls) and assisted us. It was a positive learning interaction. We ended up with the watch that we chose and Rolls was a kind, pleasant and knowledgeable sales person. He also helped us with checkout and all the options available. This week my wife decided that she also would like a watch like mine. We went back to the store and searched out Rolls. He was happy to see us and called us by our names. Needless to say we purchased another watch after getting educated and he happily checked us out. Overall his courteous, meaningful, behavior needs to be recognized. Thank you. The name was once a marker of high-quality brands, support, and technical expertise. The brands are not as high quality. My first television purchase was from this store. The unit was on sale but older. Features for the app store were discontinued. The quality of service, if known by staff, could have been used to advertise the sale but tell the facts of it being an outdated and unsupported model. The technical experience in other areas is very good. I had no other problems with items from the company. I just feel times have changed and stores sell what they can. . . Prices are comparable to other stores, but some items cost more because of the brand. Quality is backed by return or tech support, and you can join the membership too, for additional support.

Their customer service is great. They will help you the best they can and you will have fun while you're there. I also like how close the food court is.

Honestly well worth the drive. The staff was fantastic. Attentive willing to help and engage. And when the line at checkout got backed up a gentlman immediately called for help and rwo people hopped on and got the line out. Really impressive work!

This review is specifically for Gerald at the Electronics Desk. I came in today in need of some parts for my Custom Built PC that decided to quit working. Gerald not only answered all my questions but took the extra time to discuss with me some of my options for new hardware and all its benefits.
