Client ordered lumbers for a project for delivery. I recommended using a local lumber supply instead of the big box stores because the quality of wood is typically better, but I have to be honest, I’ve seen better lumber at HD. Idk if they purposely picked out the worst pieces or what, but this is the kind of stuff I’m talking about. This is completely unacceptable to sell. Noticed this after I cut it to length (obviously didn’t use it). Will not be recommending clients to use Bayview.

Confirmed order over the phone and said that they would be able to deliver the following day. Timing was the most critical need and the reason that I was willing to give them a try over other suppliers. They said that as long as I made it in to pay before closing, it wouldn't be a problem. My husband calls to add 2 items to the started order at noon, they confirm that it is no problem that they can ensure delivery the following day. I stop by to pay after collecting payment, they say they will try to deliver tomorrow. I explain that it is pretty important and they say it's not a confirmed order until they have received payment. I tell them it is pretty important information as it was the main reason I was trying them out. I call another lumberyard, and explain the situation. They are able to help us out and will make sure that we have our items tomorrow.

We were remodeling our house and went to Lorne at Bayview for cabinetry. He was fabulous, knowledgeable and very helpful. We have an entire house of new cabinetry now and we could not be happier. I highly recommend Lorne at Bayview.

My favorite lumber supplier hands down! Bob is very knowledgeable and dependable! I highly recommend to contractors and home owners alike! Great quality product, great price and great customer service.... You don't get all three of those attributes very often anymore!

First time in the place and love it. It's that local hardware store that I always loved. Just ran in for 4 screws, found the ones I needed easily. Got up to the front and the cashier said I was good. I know you can't get stuff for free all the time, but I was in a rush and it was a huge help. I won't expect anything free again, but definitely going back.

With Home Depot and Lowe's out of the lumber I needed, I called Bayview. Boards in stock, cheaper than the price the big box stores were selling the wood for if they even had the material. And, they retrieve and load it for you. The best part, the wood is top quality, every piece. I will use these folks from now on for all my big projects!!!!!

I’d say rude and arrogant describes my encounter with the yard person. The wood I received was less than desirable and apparently cut with a chain saw.The other thing that got my goat was the lack of masks. No one was wearing a mask inside until i walked inside and the yard person felt he didn’t need one. I don’t know the best practices, but I thought that one would wear a mask if the other person is wearing a mask - seems like the polite thing to do.Anyway, i will do cleaver things to make the wood work, but go someplace else for my lumber needs.

Not a place for home owners. This business caters to professionals and contractors and you can feel it. They had no patience for my questions and I hope their regular professional customers get discounts because otherwise they are the highest in the country on most things.
