The Banfield hospital on the West side of Olympia has the best staff!! I found Banfield hospital in September 2024 when my dog (if 13 years) became sick and eventually crossed to the other side, and staff was the kindest, most patient, understanding people I e ver met. They helped me through one of the hardest times of my life, and to say I was a hot mess is an understatement. After my dog was gone I adopted another dog and switched my vet services. Now they deal with my super manic, crazy puppy and deal with him well! I love the staff!!

They do not care about animals, only about making a sale. We took our sick puppy in, and their first question asked was, "How much do you have to spend?" Did unnecessary (expensive) tests, gave unnecessary medications, misdiagnosed what turned out to be a common in this breed disease that doesn't require surgery or treatment, so basically they just tried to bleed us for all the money they could get. Extremely disappointed, would never recommend Banfield to anyone.

These people are absolutely rude and abysmal. If I could give them no stars I would. So long story short. Our puppy had parvo, we opted for the at home route and she made it. In return she did have excess fluid build up from them telling us to do 300ml twice a day. Then found out at another vet we took her to that it was way too much for her body size and could have played a factor into her skin sluffing off.
Come today, she was in for a standard puppy visit as we have the optimum plan.
They take out puppy back and all we hear from the bad is the vet, tech, and office manager talking crap about us and how if we can afford this, or they decided to do it on our own.
They have no idea what they are talking about as our dog has been under veterinary care this whole time at another vet who was willing to care for her once the skin started to sluff off.
We could hear every rude remark, tone and everything.
We next extremely offended and angry at their behavior.
Giving a big beware as this office is no wee near professional.

Horrible service. Staff don't know how to communicate within their own team. My wife drop our dog off who had been limping. Told them we were okay with sedation and x rays at 8a on Tuesday. They "try to call us" to get approval for the sedation and x rays. We don't answer as I was sleeping to working overnight shift in the ER. And my wife was pre occupied. My wife calls them at 2P that afternoon as we were told mid to late afternoon for a check up. They hadn't looked at our dog. Then call back around 5p that they no longer have time to see him today. Don't offer to send home and pain medication or anything to get him by till Wednesday. I call them and tell them this is not okay. And they accept responsibility in the phone it was their own lack of communication and offer to waive trimming his claws. I told her no I expect more than a 10-15$ service that we didn't even ask for. And they said to bring him back the next day. As I mentioned before I worked the overnight shift, and my wife now works an overnight shift Wednesday night. I got home and took shadow in and was lied to. I was told they would be covering everything today. Then they call at 11, and remember we are sleeping as we are nurses that work tonight ( (Wednesday night into Thursday) . Presenting options for payment today and they present it's either going to be around 350 or to up our remainder months to double what it was on our wellness plan. I explained again that I was told it would be covered and they claim it was some higher ups that did not agree to cover it only what they are stating they will cover, or change the wellness plan to be 120$ a month. I told her if it was done right the first time yesterday I'd have no problem paying anything but they lacked communication and are now calling me while I'm sleeping to present me with these lies. And stating any vet would have to contact us during the day. To which I replied had things been communicated within their own team yesterday he would have been seen and all would have been good the first time but failure for internal communication a basic skill was missing. So my dog had a delay in care, which is a major no no in a hospital and can be sued for. They did not see him at all the day of the original appointment. This location lacks a basic human skill of communication within their staff, they lie about a solution, they call and ignore the fact that we told them to leave voicemails but we would not be answering the phone and would be there to pick our dog up by the required time. They have called twice with this being communicated to them twice. I would not trust them ever again with my animals as they lack basic communication skills and competency. They allow delays in care due their poor communication within house. They would have seen my dog the first day had they done this simple basic skill. They do not care about the impact on more then just my dogs care. They have ignored what was said about contacting us as we work this night and didn't the day of the original appointment so calls would have been okay. I feel I should mention that "option " she presented me to add this to the wellness plan would have been over 600$. We will not be going back and I'd suggest you don't. I can't trust a company who can't communicate to take care of my pets.
Edit: after picking up my dog from here they had no results to share for a couple days. Amanda one of the receptionists heard the manager radhika tell me my visit would be comped today due to the actions on 8/20. Lauren and Amanda the receptionist gave me further numbers to call. As the manager had left for the day already. The one thing missing from their actions being malpractice is my dog did not get further hurt because he was in his kennel over night. I also learned it was doctor robins who called and was very rude about everything on the phone

I booked online and it was very simple and straightforward. Easy and fast check in process. Personable employees. Very knowledgeable doctors. Prices were fair. We will be returning soon with the boys for dental cleanings! Thank you for making this so easy!

They completely missed the swollen lymph nodes on my older dog, instead telling me he needed a major teeth cleaning which would cost $2000. I will never go to Banfield again.

I love Dr. Rabito and all of the staff at the Olympia Banfield. They take such warm, loving care of my cats and I always feel at ease and like they have my back. They have been so helpful with all kinds of issues, and I'm SO happy that there are cat only days! Additionally they're always really honest and up front about costs and helping me figure out what to prioritize. A great team and they're never allowed to leave or retire because I love them too much!

We LOVE working with Dr Rabito at the Banfield Olympia. If you have cats especially, she is who you want to see! She truly treats our cats as if they were her own, with such genuine concern for their well-being, both during the appt and with the care and treatments she advises for them. She is also so, so knowledgeable! All of the other staff we have had helping us at this location have all been incredibly nice and so caring as well! I am so grateful to have this whole team here so close to where we live.

Dr Robbins was very professional. The facility is very clean. I like that they have separate waiting areas for cats and dogs. The staff was very helpful both at reception and the vet tech.

The staff at the Olympia Banfield have been so great. Very caring and efficient and you can just tell they really care. The location is also so convenient and being a stand alone clinic is just perfect for my very nervous dog. Never waiting with a bunch of other animals (which also speaks to their efficiency and timeliness) and its always very clean and quiet in there. It's such a great place. Thank you for taking such good care of my dog!
