06/29/24 2:12 pm came to AutoZone on Harrison in Olympia. Asked if I can have help with batterie installation. Was helped by a Matthew. He seemed pretty attentive at first but when I asked him if he can help me install a battery that was given to me
from father in-law. So here's the thing. The battery I have in my car now , I bought at AutoZone "on Harrison" where Im at now. I asked Matthew if I can still get some help installing my new battery although it isn't from AUTOZONE. He stopped and hesitated Aunt looked as though he was thinking about doing it. So when he came out to the car and looked at the connection I had, it was only one screw to remove some parts above the battery and two screws to remove the negative and the positive connections. And he looked overwhelmed, hesitated
installed and said they don't have enough people here to do this. Which kind of irritated me because the shop was completely empty. No customers at all anyways am I overreacting?

The manager Matthew A, had never heard of a Subaru Legacy before, I asked for rear swaybar end links, he brought up front tie rod ends, got confused, then went back and got FRONT end links. I didn't realize what he gave me was wrong until I took my car apart and realized they were the wrong part. I had to put everything back together again, (luckily the old parts still worked) and drive them back in. No apologies, nothing.
It astounds me that he's a manager. How did that happen? He's a nice guy, but seems simple, so not sure how he was put in charge. Again, nice guy, but I don't think he knows he works at a car parts store.
2 hours of install and drive time down the drain. If I paid a mechanic to do this it would have cost me a lot of money.
I would give 1 star, but the rest of the staff have been there a long time, and I'm a long time customer, so it's not their fault. Maybe Matthew needs a brush up on his automotive comprehension before he's a manager at a car parts store? Idk. Just a thought.

I had a great experience there today. Bought some cables for my ford ranger and the assistant manager was very helpful. Basically, saved me a 50-dollar instillation fee. Sorry I forgot his name, I am old but I will always remember the service I got and will go back there when one of my cars need something. Yahoooo

Terrible customer service. They give the wrong items and have terrible attitudes about it. The young lady went to go yank my light out of my vehicle and I asked her to hold on and she then threw a fit about helping. They really need to get their customer service skills in check it's the worst I've ever had. West Olympia location.

Stopped Friday, April 5, 2024 to buy a rear windshield wiper for my 2010 Subaru & Aimee O. offered to install it for me - yes, offered!! I was skeptical when I saw the new one, having just easily popped out the old, mangled one. The old wiper holder/casing "arm" looked too embedded into the base to pop off for my confidence level, but Aimee carefully, analytically, checked the new parts & proceeded to fix it in place. What an amazing human, not daunted but motivated to help - she's won a customer for life!

I needed to replace the battery in my (old farm)truck. So much corrosion and Matthew was fabulous in taking care of it in the rain! Thank you so much!

So my car battery completely died and I had to walk right around a mile and a half in the rain to get here to buy a new battery. They quickly sold me a battery, helped me get it in my backpack, and even got me a garbage bag and cut it like a poncho to drape over myself to keep the backpack and battery dry on my walk home. All the employees here were super chill and amazingly helpful. They were even going along with my jokes. This happened around 5:30pm on the same day I post this.
