We moved to Washington a few years back and needed a local bank. Our boss suggested we try BOTP because he's been using them for years and says they're fantastic... they absolutely are! We have since moved all over the USA for work but have continued using BOTP as our primary bank. We had a couple of fraud charges and it was dealt with immediately. The local banks in Aberdeen/Ocean Shores are always super nice when we call and so is the customer service line. My only suggestion is the ability to lock/unlock your card from your app to stop your card being used unless you turn it "on".

I like this bank very much I have been using them for some years and have never had a problem. The people are very nice and helpful. My only complaint is that they seem to have jumped on the bandwagon of not answering their phone. You are now forced to listen to music and messages for a few minutes before someone gets on the line. For years they would simply answer the phone, but not anymore. This makes it super frustrating if you are calling about a worrisome situation and you have to wait and wait...

I love small town banks and this one is right up there in my favorites. They are friendly, courteous, CARING, and always willing to work with us. More than anything, they are our neighbors, and that means a lot to me.

I have been with the Ocean Shores branch since 2011. I have never had better service from any bank in my life. After being with them for 4 years, in good standing, They extended (several times), signature loans with no problem at all. when ever I needed documents faxed, questions about investments, they were all ways ready to assist me. They have an excellent no fee checking/savings account that is nice. I also found that all there employees were very knowledgeable, and pleasant to do business with.

Had an employee with long grey hair tell me in the parking lot that they don't want my kind of people there. Not sure what she meant by that... The lady used to work at Shilo Inn, if that helps.

This bank is wonderful along with the worker's! I love how the only complaint is the he couldn't findout his daughters balance well to you sir duh! You must be on the account to get information there for its say u should of asked which account would best suit her needs and yours to be able to find these things out. Me personally i give my thanks and appreciation to this bank for always going above and beyond to help in any way they can thank you all!!

I personally would avoid this bank. They seem to have some pretty shady business practices. For example, if your underage daughter has an account and it is overdrawn and her father comes in and wants to pay it, they won't tell you how much is owed by your underage juvenile daughter to the worst institutions on the planet(i.e. banks). I guess they want to start your debt pitfalls as early as possible.

While the problem that arose was originally my fault, due to me not being able to switch accounts over in time, and me moving to another city, I had taken the steps to fix my account. I was never able to actually contact the person in charge of overdrawn accounts, and was never actually told that after 60 days the account would automatically be closed. I was never given any type of warning, even during the time that I personally contacted the Ocean Shores branch, and explained that I had set up a direct deposit from my work that would deposit over 50 dollars twice a month, which after two deposits would make my account in the positive and fix the situation. I informed Daniel, I believe, on around the 15th of December, that I would be having a direct deposit sent into the account, and that even though the first one would not cover the entire amount, the second one, at the end of the month would fix my account. When I was unable to access my account online, I called on the 4th of January, and was informed that my account had been closed on the 23rd, and that the deposit on the 31st had been sent back marked 'account closed'. Brooke told me this, as well as making the useless gesture of opening a new account, with a different number. It seemed totally unnecessary to offer me this due to the fact that she new I lived in another city and would not even have the ability to come down there do it, let alone have the time to set up my direct deposit again. Also, when I called and asked what the problem with my account was, the gentleman who I talked to said to me, "I don't know why that is, that's above what they pay me". While I am more than willing to admit that this was not entirely the fault of the bank, and that I was the one who was unable to do everything in time, I had taken steps to resolve the issue, and those steps along the way were not handled by the bank in what I feel was the proper manner to retain my business. I have had bad experiences with banks in the past, and while this certainly isn't the worse, it is also not a good thing for me to have to go through. What should have been something that could have amicably been worked out and seen me continue my business with your establishment, is now just a hassle for me to fix and figure out with my work.
