Brand new car loan through Great NorthWest. Giving them money for my loan is like pulling teeth. It's archaiac and terrible that you practically can't self-serve. The fact that they have to verify your account informaiton manually in order to create an online account is ridiculous. My dead father's information was still on some of the lender info from the dealership - they've done business with them in the past - so if my mom's phone number hadn't been hand written by her on the loan paperwork we would not have been able to set up the account. Meanwhile we got no emails stating that the account hadn't been set up so we just kept trying. Then we tried to call and use the automated system but it would ring and then said it was down and hung up. I was informed by an agent that apparently it's been down for over a week and they are working on it. Finally we get into the online account and they want us to set up a payment by ACH which I will not do since they take too long to process and I need the money out of the account now so I can make sure that the payment is processed. The service rep told me it takes 3 to 5 business days. I work in an industry that takes ACH payments and I know that it can take much longer than that. I don't want to risk a late fee because I assume the ACH has posted and something else comes out of my account and then causes my car payment to bounce. And then on top of that I get the pleasure of paying a "convenience" fee. Laughable. Well guess we're stuck with this archaiac backwater system until we pay the car off or trade it in. Super....

I went in to inquire about opening an account. I had read on line about the requirements, however the mail, a recent bill from spectrum with the date, was not adequate for proof of address. That was fine, I was not bothered, until she started explaining everything I had read in line. It did not say that I noticed, it needed the postmark. I did not need a printout, or the explanation that my credit would be checked, and a hard check at that. I had just sold my vehicle for cash and had several paychecks, I would have returned with my proof of iaddress,but felt as though I was being judged, for riding up on my bicycleI, in sweats and a hoodie. guess the credit union is not for me. Maybe it was an off day, and she didn't mean to appear to be talking to a simple child.

Terrible service. Manager (Older lady with short curly hair and glasses and terrible case of RBF) was one of the rudest I’ve met and very obviously hates kids. Was going to use them for a commercial loan but chose Bank of the Pacific instead and had a wonderful experience. Will never refer anyone or go back to Ocean Park Great Northwest Credit Union.

Went twice to open savings account. Second time when everyone who can open account is at lunch, I figured they didn't want my money or my business. Went to another local bank and opened account very easily with a window teller.

I will be closing my account here. I am very disappointed, I moved to Vancouver and did a mobile deposit at 9:15 AM on a Monday I called in at 11:15 expecting my deposit to have already been done so they told me they only run deposits twice a day at around 8-9 and one at 3 and my money will be not should be will be available at 3. So comes 3:15 I called them about my deposit all they said is we are busy we're sorry. You operate in Ocean park , where I sent my deposit and where I called and bank you people don't know busy. When I banked though Rivermark the mobile deposits are almost instant. I hate this bank. Plus when I first signed up they didn't sign me up right then when I ordered my debit card they didn't send it out so I had to order it again the whole thing took like 6 weeks. So many other place to bank that are way better
