“I live in California and my dad lives in a retirement community in Oak Harbor. I wanted to surprise him with a cake for his birthday, and I needed it to feed everyone where he lives. I turned to Safeway. The bakery staff were very pleasant and accommodating, and the plus was that they'd worked with the retirement location before. Since I wasn't physically there to look through the designs, Sandy was nice enough to go through them with me until I found one that I liked. Jackie did a wonderful job decorating the cake and making it look extra festive. Plus, they suggested two flavors. Half the cake was chocolate with raspberry filling, and the other half was white with lemon filling. It was ready on time when the staff came to pick it up. Needless to say the cake was a hit, and my dad was Mr. Popular with his neighbors for his birthday!”

“Very tall ceilings, navigable aisles, and tall shelving make for sharpening detective/finding skills when looking for a particular item at this Walmart in Oak Harbor. My Grandma and I like to visit both when we are looking for something specific and when we are just in the mood to look around and see what they have. Offerings are numerous and varied. Employees are helpful and positively engage with the customers. Parking can be packed later in the day even though the lot is large.”

“The pharmacy here is very good: good consultation on interactions of over the counter medications. Full inventory of cold and allergy medications ( unlike Safeway across the street.) helpful staff on insurance paperwork !! And lots of Covid tests and covid / flu shots. A clean , well organized store !”

“Most recently came here in September 2021 on the hunt for vanilla ice cream with my grandma after picking some blackberries at a local state park. The parking lot is easy to navigate and carts easily accessible by the store entrance. Aisles were clearly labeled and it was straightforward to find what we were looking for. Some of the shelves were pretty picked over, though that might have partially been due to supply shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic. The store itself was cleanly and the workers friendly.”
