Quaint little Inn right on the highway. The place certainly seemed like it has been around a while though it has been reasonably well maintained. Our biggest complaint was the bed. It felt like a sheet of plywood with a little padding on top. If you like a VERY firm mattress then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I would recommend going elsewhere or bringing a mattress pad with you.

It's right in Oak Harbor, has clean and cute rooms, excellent prices, and the staff is amazing. Given that this hotel has significance in my family, I was so glad to not be at all disappointed with their standards. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

There is something to be said for the nostalgia of staying at one of the most iconic inns in the island. The staff were wonderful, the continental breakfast was quick and simple, and you can't beat the ease of the location.
The rooms are the only hitch. Very clean, but left a bit to be desired. The doorknob was loose in the frame (thankfully backed up by a deadbolt), and the lights above the sink and mirror plain didn't work.
I still appreciate the wonderful staff, and I can now say I stayed at the Auld Holland after living so close for 20+ years.

Great staff, but the place needs an update.
Rooms: Noisy AC, outdated rooms, poor decoration.
Walkability: You need a car for anything.

Very run down. Photos on website are misleading. No housekeeping, spa tub in room went off during the middle of the night twice without explanation or warning. Very loud and disconcerting. Wallpaper peeling. Dirty, dusty, dismal.

Cabin very small, ran down and wasn’t very clean. Great location (easy to get to things) but wouldn’t recommend.

I almost feel bad giving four stars and not five. This place is amazing. I had a great time. My woman and I fully enjoyed ours time here. It was definitely better than trying to stay at one of the Best Western or candlewood. It was cute and cozy in a way you don't often get and I travel the country and spend more time in a hotel than I do my own house LOL. So that's saying something absolutely worth what you're paying and worth this day. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely stay here again

Where to begin? This place is kitschy. It's a themed hotel, kinda fun! However... If you're thinking of upgrading to a queen suite, I'd recommend against it. The tub was missing a metal cap so there was a rusty jet right where you'd be sitting. Tetanus, anyone? It also blasted out a ton of rusty water. So gross. On top of that, the frame of the fireplace has to be removed to get to the switch along the bottom edge. It's very cumbersome. Lastly, don't eat the hard boiled eggs. I spent an entire afternoon and evening on my knees in the bathroom. If you're looking for somewhere to crash overnight it's totally acceptable, but the queen suite is wildly disappointing.

Good location and service. We stayed in a cabin. It is really small. Tiny little bathroom. There is a coffee machine and has everything you need but just tiny.

Very old and outdated. I’ve seen some room
Images on line and ours was NOT like that. It was a bathroom from the 70’s with kindergarten size toilet, old sink and NOT clean. Visible hair and dirt on floor and mold all around the tub. There were maybe 7 cars outside overnight: why wouldn’t they want to give their best and cleanest rooms to all? Won’t be coming back unfortunately.

Such a cute hotel theme. It would've been perfect if it weren't for the fact that it's so difficult to open the doors. Those with arthritis or even weak wrists will struggle. Not friendly for the disabled.

Charming rooms with character! Loved the small kitchenette, the vintage tile, and the overall vibe. Clean, but dated, and that’s perfectly fine with us. Excellent place to stay! Sauna was an unexpected bonus, and the continental breakfast was a great added value (coffee, bagels, pastries, fresh fruit, cereal, etc.)
Noteworthy details: There’s a sauna in the gym area!

This place is a true gem! It's an older structure with authentic charm - wooden beams, shuttered windows, floral paint, wallpaper, tile for that eclectic feel. The queen suite with the jetted tub was nice, the fireplace was a cute touch. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room.
Nothing that ruined the experience for me, but under the bed was not cleaned from the people before us. There were random items and durt visible. Otherwise, the room felt well maintained. I loved the whimsical feeling of opening the windows that push out! The shutters did need cleaned as well.
The front desk woman was so sweet and caring of her guests. Over all it was a great experience for me and my 3 year old on our mama and son get away! We would love to come back.
Walkability: Resturant next door, everything else is further up the road.
