Overall our experience with this hotel was absolutely great!! The owner of this hotel let us check in a day early, and was very friendly!! The two ladies at the front desk were super helpful, and very polite! I will be staying here again when I travel back to the Island! The location is perfect also!! When you check in you will sign a little piece of paper that indicates "you will not tamper with the smoke or fire alarms, and also you will not smoke ANYTHING in the rooms or it will be a $500.00 charge". If you act appropriately you will not be charged!!

THIS PLACE WILL STEAL FROM YOU!! Owner is dishonest. Do NOT stay here! Do NOT give them your card info. They will claim you did something to your room after you leave (that isn’t true) and charge you $500 with no evidence!!! When you call to dispute, they will yell and hang up on you!! Multiple times!! Awful location, awful rooms, breakfast is a joke (two tubs of muffins). DO NOT STAY HERE. BEWARE. BEWARE. BEWARE. They clearly have done this before and it is a scam. These are thieves. Pay a bit more to stay somewhere else, it will be worth it.

Old rooms...but they are clean. Their breakfast is a complete joke. I would not even call it a breakfast, the had 2 plastic bins, 1 was filled with thawed out muffins and the other was different kinds of bread to toast. That's it. Went to Island Cafe for breakfast.
The bed was extremely soft and the mattress felt like it had not been turned since the hotel was opened. I was literally sleeping on a decline.
All in all, this place is a one and done for me. Such a pitty, it would be a great hotel if they invest some money into it.

Can't say enough how horrible the main guy is we stayed Thursday night and last night and never got our deposit back .......... My boy and I cleaned up the room left it spotless even tho we know still they will clean the room we left it spotless and didn't smoke or anything in there the guy was horribly room and I dont refer this place at all horrible horrible customer service

i'll start off by saying I did NOT ask for a new room. Had a rough night and wanted to go to bed. When checking out I told the lady at the front desk with silver hair (she was very nice and sweet) my complaints and she assured me they would've given me a different room if I asked. Giving 4/5 instead of 3/5 solely because they would've given me a new one. Beds were made but I pulled off the top blanket and food crumbs everywhere, fake nails, hair a different color than mine, etc. Itchy and one blanket had a bunch of little holes. I also didn't ask for a room switch because they obviously made the beds without cleaning them, so who knows what would've been in a different room. I didn't bother using the blankets. The remote was oddly sticky? Didn't bother with that either. Besides that everything was fine. Coffee and vending machine in the front. Microwave in the room with a mini fridge. If you need a quick place for the night without crazy hidden fees and no one bugging you, it'll do. Maybe just bring your own blanket

Stayed for a more local stay cation. Went to an event near by. The price compared to other places was more reasonable for the location.The rooms were a little more homey looking. The beds were okay. Service was fine. Worked for just a local night away.

Nice motor inn, very close to Music Festival. Prices were reasonable, bed was comfortable, room was nice and quiet.Nearby activities: Just a couple of blocks from Music Festival. An annual event...very fun.

The owner is difficult to understand. The rooms are decorated in a very unusual way however were spacious and clean. Would not stay here again.

BED BUGS - I was double charged for the room, and woke up to bed bugs at midnight. I slept in my car and asked for a refund from the desk clerk, she told me to come back later to speak to the owner. When I came back they took me up to the room and asked me to find the bugs as proof. The owner insisted I didn't have enough evidence even with a time stamped photo showing the bugs and hotel bedding. He said if I'd wanted a refund I shouldn't have waited until the morning to check out. Can't speak to anything else, but for customer service, or cleanliness - go somewhere, anywhere else.Rooms: Bed Bugs. Showed the owner a photo and he said "They could be any kind of bugs" and it wasn't enough proof to refund me or call pest control.

Room had bedbugs. Manager was notified and refused to do anything about the problem. The manager stated that because I went out to my car at 2 AM when I discovered the bedbugs and slept in the car because there were no more rooms in the hotel, that I did not deserve a refund because I did not check out at that time. I did try to check out, but could not find any desk agent or manager to check me out. I went back in the morning when there was someone at the desk and was treated very poorly. I was told that the photographs that I took of the bedbugs were not adequate proof . I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau of oak harbor, as well as the health department of Washington state.
