Frustrating visit! Normally I really enjoy shopping here, as the workers are nice and the discounts are great. Today I was driving back to Seattle from out East and wanted to make a quick stop just for Kate Spade to see what they had. Checked online to make sure they were open, but got to the store at 2:20 and there was a paper sign saying it was closed from 2-3 for lunch and cleaning. I understand the need for both of those, but it was still disappointing to read when I walked up to the store.

I live in Federal way and drive to North Bend to avoid the Auburn store. I was there today using a gift card picking up a bag they had placed on hold for me. The two ladies who were working were outstanding. The store was a little busy and the POS system was giving them difficulty. But they worked through it with out other customers being held up. They were awesome.

I look online to see what time stores open at the NB outlet. Today is Friday and they open at 10am. I get to the Kate Spade store at 10:05am. A woman opens the store for a service person. Won’t let me in because they open at 11. I told her the internet says they open at 10. She says: “Only on Fridays!” I said: “Today is Friday!” She casually replied: “well you’re going to have to wait because I’m not ready to open.” Another two shoppers arrive. I had to give them the bad news. Nobody cares these days?

I purchased an in store Kate Spade backpack and wallet and received the wrong color bag that I had wanted. It's extremely frustrating to pay a pretty penny for something you did not intend buying and being 4 hours away it is not an easy exchange. Moving forward I hope staff can be more diligent when giving customers there purchased items.

I got at the store at 1:30pm thinking the doors would be unlocked, I go to the door and try to open them but they are both locked. I got to a couple other stores because I see that their sign says we will be with you shortly, then as I come back at around 1:45pm then there’s a sign they will be closed at 2 pm for sanitation but the doors are still locked so the store doesn’t want customers 30 min before lunch or what gives?

My first time going to a Kate Spade store was a wonderful experience. The displays are beautiful, friendly employees and the manager Shere went above and beyond ensuring I was taken care of. I will definitely be returning.
