I dropped into this BECU because I needed a replacement debit card. I'd had some issues getting one over the phone and after waiting 19 days for it to arrive in the mail, I decided to stop into the neighborhood center. Even though I didn't have an appointment they were able to serve me within 10 minutes of my arrival. The entire interaction was quick and efficient and I walked out with my new debit card about 20 minutes after arriving.Ironically, my other debit card arrived in the mail that day, so I just cut it up. But I think the neighborhood service center did a great job and I would definitely go back.

Stopped in without an appointment, and Sunny K. greeted us with a smile, asking how they could help us. I didn't even have to sign in at the electronic kiosk. Sunny was incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough. Had a lovely experience at this BECU!

My wife and I have had it all done at this branch - Multiple car loans, wire transfers, name change, account creation, modification (joint and separate), checks printed, business account management, I mean you name it.I've never had anything that resembled a challenge at this branch, and even during a busy time, the waits were always very short. I mean, everyone is going to have an off day once in a blue moon and enter someone yelling on the internet about it, but personally, I've worked with half a dozen people here and never had anything but a stellar experience.

First-time car buyer and loan applicant. You guys made the process very smooth and easy and saved me from paying more than double for the car I got from a used car dealer. Everyone is very professional and friendly, showing that they actually care about the clientele. Far superior than any big bank I've been to. Will be making the transition to BECU permanently very soon. Felt no pressure in any decision I needed to make, and everything was explained clearly and concisely to me. Walked in super nervous left feeling super confident. Returned the next day with a different car and dealer financing than what I was pre-approved for. They were able to finance my car and help make payments drop about $8k-$9k. Eli helped me both times and felt comfortable trusting him through this process. Came in this AM for a quick withdrawal. Was in and out in 5 minutes. These folks are professional, courteous and expedient. Happy to call BECU my credit union.

Blame this on the branch but it is a BECU issue. The processes they have when changing your name, depositing a check are in some circumstances ridiculous. I had a check I deposited last month and went through a process. This month, new process. They said "Last time they did it wrong' but no one will tell me the documented process ... all random. BECU do you know how to run a bank?

Poor attention to detail of both service rep and me. I went there to get an updated debit card - it expired 01/20. He asked me a few questions and gave me a new card. I failed to check the expiration on the card - it was still 01/20.

I’m so happy I decided to go here! This is the best customer service I’ve ever received at any bank. I had an appointment with Angel today, that I was very nervous about going into due to my credit history. He was extremely helpful and accommodating as I don’t have much credit established. He helped me set up a checking account and when looking into options for a credit card, made me feel so comfortable and comfortable the whole time while thinking about it. I didn’t feel pressured at any point or forced to make a decision. Now I know why so many people vouch and stand behind BECU. Never going anywhere else again. This was such a great experience and Angel knows his stuff. Choose BECU because they choose to help you rather than to sell you.

I enjoy this location. Quick and easy to get in and out of. I stopped going to the landing because it's not safe to cross the road to the atm. I stopped going to the factoria location due to bad parking and bad drivers. This is the only location I have found where traffic doesn't try to hit pedestrians crossing the road. I noticed the bad reviews are generally from customers trying to scam the system then it back fires. You can't scam a bank people they know. Or they don't understand how banks work and are total morons.

A group of unprofessional bank personal, making people running around to get the paperwork that was not listed on the loans application. Spent 2 hours waiting to find out they can't approve the pre-approval amount. They have a funny system to appraise boat value.

You should list ALL requirements on your website to complete the application process, which includes, that you have to have a physical SS card. The only identification items stated on your website to open an account is a valid ID and your SS NUMBER. Applied online and after a couple of days there was a request for a copy of driver's license along with a copy of our SS cards. The most important part, I do not feel comfortable uploading certain documents to a website and thought the request for physical SS card was because it was made online. Researching more, there is no mention you ever need your SS card to open an account, just the SS numbers. Walked in to the Newcastle office and provided valid SSN, physical photo ID, and offered my passport as proof I are who I am, but denied because no physical SS card. I understand completely it is up to you as a company to have specific requirements, and you have every right to, but LIST them up front so the general public knows the exact documents they need in order to open an account... this way a person can have all documents required. It would have been nice to know the absolute required items before starting a request and having a ding to my credit report because I could have worked on requesting the missing documents and been ready. I read great reviews of BECU and wanted to try to go local to a credit union, but staying with current bank instead of opening an account with you because of lack of trust on the front end.

Thank you for opening up a location in Newcastle. The landing BECU is not safe because you have to cross several lanes of traffic to get to the building. Most of the time traffic does not stop for you. This location is not all that busy and it's a quick easy in and out.
