Such a fun stop! Even the dense fog didn't stop us from getting some nice photos to capture memories of our one week road trip through the Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound! There are limited parking spaces available, and you have to pay for parking from 8am-8pm. The first hour is $2.25. Pretty reasonable for the lighthouse, view, park to walk the dogs and clean public restrooms. The lighthouse was closed when we visited. From the signs, it looks like it's only open through September, so we just missed being able to go inside the buildings and gift shop. The grounds are kept so nicely...lawn edged, and beautiful flowers, some still in bloom when we visited. Overall a very cute and quaint lighthouse. Would highly recommend a visit!

I Kidd you not I go here all the time and it's so perfect, especially at sunset depending on the day/season. As a photographer, I come here and do senior shoots and couple shoots with people. I also do occasionally come here by myself and take photos of random things or the scenery. It's sucks that you have to pay to park here now but it's worth it. If you can, avoid the weekend rush(Friday night-Sunday evening) because it's very hard to find a spot even though this place has better parking then Edmonds beach.

The lighthouse is quaint and cute the real winner is the shoreline where you can sit on the logs and watch the sunset w/ a fire at your feet. Just across the way is Whidbey Island. Lots of birds to watch as well and in spring / summer they have floating docks you can walk out on not far but it still is nice. I didn't ever go into the gift shop but the ice cream counter at the end of the street is a sure hit.

This is a wonderful gem to find about half hour from Bellevue. My sister moved to Kirkland from East coast for work. It's going to be more awesome exploring Washington now that she's here. Going weekday in the morning has its advantages - opposite traffic, no lines, even the ferry is nice and pleasant. The lighthouse itself offers such beauty both its structure and its surroundings; yes it still works!!! We were surprised how much cheaper ferry fare is compared to others (maybe cuz it's only 20min ride). Drivers apparently like to stay in their cars because hardly anyone was in the sitting rooms or decks. we decided not to take the car into the ferry and rose as passengers. All the better for us with freedom to roam!

Came right during closing but we got to run up to the top and see the inside of the lighthouse. What a cool adventure. My daughter thought it was awesome.

I had stopped out to this lighthouse for its view. The city was clean and a good of the ocean. It wasn't opened when we arrived there. However, it is a good area for fishing or going to a picnic. There is sufficient parking.

Got married here on 09-27. Don't be even 10 seconds over your scheduled time. Other than that is was a-ok. We had to go to a restaurant to sign our marriage certificate. They wouldn't give us a minute to do that. Our minister was upset about their "rush" on us. Everything else was nice.

So many fun memories here! The nice volunteers held the lighthouse open for a few extra minutes so we could just get those perfect wedding shots. That's customer service!!

we went to the beach to have a fire at sunset. like we used to a couple years ago. it turns out there are not longer any fire pits at the beach. instead of posting NO FIRES they had a sign at the location of each old pit saying "use fire pits only" the part they left out was there are NO FIRE PITS. the signs are BS i will have to drive down to golden gardens now

In continuing with my "lazy day" program, we went for a drive to the end of the road......Mukilteo. I am a huge fan of Lighthouses and decided "what tha' heck". It was everything and more than we expected. It was like walking back in time. We learned the history of the land as well as it's keepers. Were educated on how the Coast Guard was stationed here and when they left. The land is owned by the city and it is beautiful. The ferry comes and goes in the near distance, the lawns are well manicured, property is clean, gift shop volunteers are friendly then there is the Lighthouse Keeper. This gentleman is 84yo and just as nice as can be. He had some of his own stories to tell which put a personal touch on the entire experience. We really enjoyed our visit.

This is a great park with an incredible view! The ferry is right next to the park and Lighthouse. There is a boat launch, and plenty of parking. There are covered picnic spaces, a playground for the kids, fire pits on the beach, and benches. This is a great place for a picnic, and bring fire wood to burn in the fire pits.
