They put the "community" back in community bank. Everyone at this branch is super friendly and always quick to respond to all my banking needs. Jeanette and Eleanore in particular go out of their way to take care of all my random banking needs handling all my transactions with ease. The service they provide to my law firm is unmatched.

I've been friendly with everybody running the joint for 12 years now. They used to be fantastic! Before online banking was a thing they'd help me over the phone almost weekly! Now they are only kind of friendly and really hard to work with most of the time. Don't know what's going on there but I'm not a fan and will be switching to a financial union.

Having experienced the friendly, welcoming, fun vibe of the Sequim branch for many years, it is unfortunate that the Mountlake Terrace branch is such a constant disappointment. After several years of having to endure this location, I can report that the tellers are fine, but the management lurks and watches at all times, putting everyone on edge. It's like walking into a funeral home. I feel sorry for the tellers. Do better Sound Bank! Your faithful employees and customers deserve better!!

Because my son is autistic and developmentally disabled, his SSI is still linked to an out of state credit union and it would be very difficult for us to have it changed at this point. This evening I wanted to transfer $300 from my checking account to his. I tried to do this via the credit union ATM in a local grocery store in Mountlake Terrace, however it was being serviced so I thought I would try using the ATM at Sound Community Bank. I was able to withdraw $300 from my checking account, but then when I tried to deposit the funds into my son's account, the ATM kept $260 of my money and cancelled the deposit. When I went into the bank to express my distress over this matter, the manager did not appear to share my concern over this. She greeted the customer in line behind me by name several times, assuring her that her wait would be brief, while telling me I would need to go and file a dispute with "my own credit union". My issue is this: I may not be a regular customer, but I was a customer, I paid to withdraw money from their ATM. More importantly, I was a neighbor in need and I would absolutely never have treated any of my neighbors with that level of indifference. Not a very good quality in a "local family bank".

As a small business owner (architect), I have done my office and personal banking ever since Sound Community Bank opened their Mountlake Terrace branch and I couldn't be more pleased with the excellent service. Since day one, all of the staff have been extremely helpful and very friendly. Any questions that I may have get answered immediately. Unlike many banks, there isn't a constant "turnover" of staff - this is important in that the staff get to know me and I have a strong bond with each of the staff with whom I've worked - this is extremely rare in a client / business relationship and I've referred many of my family and friends to this bank. Keep up the great work!
