Brought my ESA shadow here after she began to scream and limp. After an overnight stay and 1700 dollars, y’all legit said “we don’t know, sorry. Here’s meds to manage the pain.” After multiple different vet visits, she has a severe spinal injury that should’ve been caught earlier. I am beyond disappointed with my experience. My animal suffered significantly due to bad quality of care period. I would prefer she died in my arms to bringing her back here in case of an emergency. Just ANGRY! I might take y’all to small claims court! Robbery for misinformed and disinterested care!!!!

Saved our male cat with a full urinary blockage, called ahead as soon as we noticed he was not able to relieve himself, they took him back immediately and the process began. He ended up having to stay two nights, every single person on the staff was quick to call us and answered immediately when we would call, they explained every step of the way and were immediately forthcoming with every increase in price as we got further into the diagnosing process. This is an emergency room, there is going to be unpredictable wait times and it is more expensive than a normal vet as it should be!We cannot express how grateful we are to the Doctors/DVM's that loved on our boy and that this building/service is open and available.Thank you a thousand times for all of the loving care and knowledge that was used and shared with us to fix our Mr. Meat!

The triage is very helpful & free. The wait can be long depending on the seriousness of the condition. My late dog was seen immediately while actively seizing but had an 8 hour wait for a bowel obstruction on a different visit. 2 hour for a hurt paw. It's gotten a little better with the extra staff after the renovation but still understaffed like everyone else is. Emergency surgeries definitely make the wait longer, but i don't mind. They are accommodating & will let you wait in your car. Or let you leave if you need food.My puppy got a hold of something toxic just after I'd taken a sleeping pill. They didn't think she ate enough to worry but still offered to hold & monitor her while i slept in the car. Since I was going to be unable to drive & stay awake to keep an eye on her.

My cat was recently poisoned by lily’s in our yard. His kidney’s were failing and he was rapidly declining. We took him to the Pet Emergency Center and they got him in immediately. They were so compassionate and skilled in what they do. I have no doubt my cat is alive because of their quick actions. Can’t speak more highly of them.

I brought my dog in after a day of not eating and vomiting, with other symptoms indicating he’d need a foreign body removal (which I was very wrong about). Although I was warned we were looking at a six hour wait (it ended up being around five hours, but the tech came and checked on us periodically through the wait) I was pleased with the care, compassion, and friendliness of all techs, front desk staff, and vets. I felt like my bill was more than fair and I’m appreciative that my concerns were listened to, even though I got news I didn’t want or expect to hear. They sent me home with everything I needed to keep my guy comfortable, and called me back quickly when I had a question about one of the medicines a couple of days later. There are not a whole lot of options for emergency vets in the area, but I won’t hesitate to come here again if I need to.

Great care, treatment, explanation and empathy of my visit with my wire fox terrier Dexter. I live in Snohomish, the front desk explained process/wait time...techs were great...vet, Malkolm Graffe was superb in his communication, opinion and empathy. It was a huge help in determining what to do to take care of my best friend. Thanks to all at the center.

On Sunday night at 7pm my dog started getting really sick. We drove an hour to the Pet Emergency Center in Mt Vernon (it was the closest place open). We called ahead and were advised it was a 4 hour wait. When we arrived it was about 9pm. I went inside and checked my pup in. A tech came out right away and checked our dog, she said he seemed very nauseous so took him back immediately for anti-nausea medicine and kept an eye on him until it was our turn. When it was our turn they called us into a room and the Vet was excellent. She suggested blood work and X-rays and told us the cost up front. The X-rays looked fine (I saw them and agree) and the blood work showed a slight increase in white blood count. Our course of action was to take him home on antibiotics. I 100% agree with the treatment. He had only been sick for less than a day and was acting relatively normal. The next afternoon my dog took a turn for the worse. He seemed like he was in a lot of pain. I rushed him back to the Vet (after I called and was told it was a long wait). When I got there they took him right to the back and we waited. We were called in to talk to the vet relatively quickly. Unfortunately our pup was very sick and there was no hope for him to make a recovery. We had to make the decision to put him to sleep so he didn’t suffer. Every employee we came into contact with, 9 total, was friendly, helpful and compassionate. I appreciate them more than I can put into words. If you need an emergency vet this is the place to go.

I am so beyond grateful for this hospital. I had an ongoing issue with my dog and couldn't get any emergency veterinary to see him. I live in Tacoma. The night I was looking, I called everywhere between Vancouver, Poulsbo, and Everett. No one would see him because he wasn't critical enough compared to others. Finally at 11pm my sister found this hospital and I drove two hours to get there.I waited about 5 hours, but this was the weekend before the holiday and everywhere else was max capacity or only taking critical. I would gladly wait double that to get him seen. I appreciate that they give you the option to wait instead of turning you awaFrom the moment I called to each person I interacted with, it was such a great experience. Everyone there really cared. Especially the woman who triaged us. I finally felt like someone was listening to me.The doctor was excellent! Prior to this, I had taken my dog to Urgent Care on 06/20 because he couldn't open his mouth. They suspected a dental abscess but couldn't look because he was in pain. They quoted me $3200 for a dental surgery and said they'd call me the same day. Long story short, that never happened despite me following up with them repeatedly. And they sent me home with only pain meds, not antibiotics.I wasn't convinced, though. The second the doctor walked in, she said, "I think it's an injury, not his teeth." She offered to sedate my dog and check his mouth (yes, please!) And guess what? He had an injury. A hole in his mouth with an abscess. My poor guy couldn't open his mouth for 13 days and the infection got worse because the previous clinic, and the hospital I waited at for 3 hours before this one, wouldn't give him antibiotics or sedate him to look in his mouth. My dog is now on the mend and happily resting at home.I had an accident prone beagle for 16 years, so trust me when I say I have been to a lot of veterinary emergency rooms. This was the best experience I have had. I'm so grateful that this clinic was kind, listened to my concerns, and actually helped my dog.

Overall fantastic! My dog suddenly started crying out in pain, we had no idea why. The veterinarian did a very detailed physical exam ruling out areas of pain. They didn’t push X-rays or labs on me. They’re very up front about costs. Being an emergency vet I was preparing myself for a huge bill- it was very fair and reasonable, compared to my regular vet.Be prepared to wait. They’re extremely busy. It is an ER and they take the most unstable first, as they should.

They are Amazing! I have worked with most vets in northern Washington and been in the back of the clinics and met staff from them and while I like a lot, I love this one. They have the best staff who love their jobs and care for the pets in their care. The facility is amazing! Some vets have dogs in I kennel in the back room and they all seemed scared but not here! Your pets are right there where multiple people can see them at almost any moment and help them be more comfortable and cared for the entire time they are there. Vicky at the front desk is amazing! They take great care of my dog and it's worth the drive to get the care!

This morning, around 2:30 am, i called PEC with panic because of my cat becoming paralyzed in his hind legs. I told them I was on the way & the receptionist told me she would let the techs know so they could prepare. She told me to drive safe & made sure I was okay to drive. Once I arrived, a tech came out within 2 minutes & took him back. The doctor came in & gave me my condolences & prepared me to say goodbye to my best friend. He was so kind & it pained him too. The receptionist came in & gave me a hug because I was alone. I could not recommend this hospital more. If you’re looking for compassionate people who care about your animals, go to PEC.Love you Mata Boy

We are moving into a new place, and our 9-month-old corgi puppy decided to do a superman leap off of a flight of stairs - only to land at the bottom and break his foot/leg. I called several places that were at capacity or closed (it was a Sunday) and started to panic. Then I called Pet Emergency Center. The receptionist was lovely, speaking in a calm and kind voice that helped calm me down as I explained the situation. It is our first puppy, so he is like our child and I was really upset and scared. They said there was a 6-8 hour wait but they would take him. They let us know well ahead of time that we were going to be there for a while, so we arrived expecting that. Once we got there, they assessed him, and then offered to put him in the back so they could get him some pain medicine. We still had to wait, but it was much more manageable knowing that he was comfortable. The staff is wonderful, all very nice. The building was very clean, as was the property. They did a very good job of taking care of him, and I will be forever grateful. I would highly recommend going here if you ever need emergency care for your pet.

We had a serious emergency with one of our dogs that required immediate care on New Years Eve late at night, which was also a weekend. It was the kind of situation that absolutely could not wait. The vet and their staff were compassionate, kind, and helped us immediately on arrival at the clinic. They explained our options, gave clear price quotes, and then gave us privacy to discuss what we wanted to do. We had to make some very tough decisions that night. They were patient while we asked lots of questions, and we never felt any pressure to choose one way or another while we were deciding between proceeding with further treatment, or putting our dog down. We opted to have them treat her, and they took great care of our dog. Their entire staff were top-notch, but I'd especially like to thank Tom, one of the veterinary technicians, for his kindness and empathy that night. He took care of me just as much as he took care of our dog (which was definitely outside of his job description). We sure are grateful for the fact that their veterinarians and staff work 24/7 (giving up holidays and nights with their own families) so that they were there when we needed them.

The only emergency vet that took my beloved best friend in. I drove from Monroe WA. They immediately put him on a stretcher and took him in. I am so thankful for the vets here and receptionist and everyone. They recommended to hospitalization but Gus has severe anxiety and so they made a out patient treatment plan I need to follow for him. We spent 5 hours there but it was worth it. Just got home after an hour of driving and he's already perking up. I highly recommend this Emergency Clinic. I won't go anywhere else for a true emergency.

I brought my senior dachshund in last week and had an absolutely great experience all the way around. Devin did triage on my pup and would check in every so often just to see how he was doing and if we were comfortable in the waiting area. The vet who took care of our dog was also very kind and understanding of our emotional state in regards to the health and wellbeing of our boy. We were there until 1:30 AM and were genuinely surprised and delighted by the level of care and professionalism we experienced regardless of the time of day or night. Thank you so much!!
