As an active duty military member stationed in Washington, I recently encountered an exasperating experience at Haggen Pharmacy that left me deeply dissatisfied. Despite state regulations allowing controlled substance refills up to 3-5 days early, Haggen Pharmacy steadfastly refused to fill my new prescription until the exact day my old one expired. This rigid adherence to policy without consideration for individual circumstances is unacceptable.Adding to the frustration was the fact that my doctor had already submitted the prescription, only to be told that it couldn't be filled until they personally authorized it again. This begs the question: what is the purpose of having a doctor submit a prescription if the pharmacist won't honor it without further confirmation?Compounding the issue is the difficulty of reaching medical professionals, especially for someone like myself in the military who may not have easy access to my doctor. This lack of accessibility creates unnecessary barriers to obtaining vital medication.Furthermore, as someone who had made arrangements to travel and visit family, I now find myself in the predicament of having to wait for my prescription to be refilled, disrupting my plans and causing undue stress. What's particularly frustrating is the absence of transparency regarding Haggen Pharmacy's policy on controlled substance refills. Where is it clearly stated that they will not refill prescriptions early? This lack of clarity only adds to the confusion and inconvenience experienced by customers.Overall, my experience at Haggen Pharmacy has been deeply disappointing. Their inflexible policies, lack of consideration for individual circumstances, and inadequate communication regarding prescription refills have left me feeling frustrated and let down. As a loyal customer, I expected better service and flexibility, and unfortunately, Haggen Pharmacy failed to deliver.

Just went to pick up a prescription on Jan 8th after getting an alert at 7:53pm. It was nearing closing time. Clock turned 8pm while I waited for in line for the medication I needed badly. The RedHead behind the counter was extremely rude in the way she talked “WE’RE CLOSED”. She lacks manners and how to talk to customers. She should not be in any people interaction position. Management needs to reconsider hiring such employees OR TRAIN them. These type of individuals that kill your day should be fired. Further please get someone to answer your phones. I called 10 times today starting at 3pm to 7:30pm but no one ever has the decency to pick up the phones. Very disappointed.

Don't try for a walk-in vaccines... The website says to give it a try, but they will turn you away and never take you on the spot for walk-ins.

What hasn't already been said?Lines backed up half way down the aisle. As my family is switching pharmacies, they are contacted by the new pharmacy to transfer over scripts and Haggen says they don't have it and the new pharmacy definitely does not have it.Their unorganized and lack of working with a purpose is appalling.Reading the last year of reviews and the Haggen "owner" forwarding these reviews to the pharmacy team has done zero in rectifying any of the issues.

The pharmacy is convenient when buying groceries at Haggen. They have twice failed to contact me about prescriptions due to problems on their end, and both times caused health impacts to me. This is NOT acceptable. The first time was the issue last December (2022) with their data system losing information. Losing data itself shows basic incompetence - but then they didn't contact my doctor, announce anything over the PA (my husband shops there daily), nothing. The second time, my doctor called in a prescription and I never got texted to inform me that it was ready for pickup, even though this is the normal way they inform me. When I called to figure out why I hadn't heard anything, I was told that they didn't text anymore and required people to use the app. They never informed us about this change. They never texted me to tell me this, even though they clearly had my number (unless they lost my data again...)Add to that grumpy service from everyone except the people who give vaccines (who have been lovely), painful systems to sign up for vaccines, and migraine-triggering scented hygiene products in the aisle where people line up to pick up their medications... I'm calling my doctor on Monday to switch pharmacies. I'll go with whatever she recommends - it can't be worse than this.I was going to give two stars for the convenience of picking up prescriptions while shopping... but I honestly think I'd have been better off if this pharmacy weren't here at all, so one star

They do not answer the phone apparently. I've tried calling the last 2 weeks and it says no one is available and there is no option to leave a message to get a call back.I called the direct line of the store, they said there's nothing they can do about it. I asked if they can give the pharmacy people my name and number and ask them to call me back, she said no, it's a violation of HIPAA laws. I asked how can I get this resolved. She blind-transferred me to a manager without explaining the situation. He was totally apathetic about it. I told him I've been calling for weeks with no luck. He kept asking if I had called them though. He said there is nothing he can do. I asked if he can give them my number for a call back. He said yes.A few minutes later I got a call. Apparently they did get my prescription filled, however, they never notified me that it was in, so they sent it back to their supplier. Now they can't redo the prescription because it has to be preauthorized so now I have to redo that whole process as a result of their actions.Needless to say, I am switching pharmacies. I can see why all the reviews in the last year are so low. With the prices they charge for stuff in the store, you'd expect a higher level of service and care.

The Most Disgusting Muffins. Tried the Cranberry Orange Walnut muffins from the Bakery. They were disgusting how can a store make something like this and think they are good. Maybe its time they stop trying to be a trendy bakery and just stick to the basics that people want, they try to stack flavor on-top of favor but they cant its just a jumbled mess and tastes disgusting. Please stop before you hurt someone because you mark the boxes wrong or don't mark them at all, which is their favorite way of putting everything out in the Bakery. But I know they don't Care

Shopping here is conveniently located to home. However, both my partner and I are Autistic, get off work late, and night is the only time we have to shop. The past few times only self-checkout has been available, which is a sensory nightmare, anxiety inducing, and not friendly for people with disabilities. We work our own jobs each day and often don't have the mental capacity left to check and bag our own groceries. We don't want to work here, we just want to shop here. For the higher prices Haggen stores charge we hope for at least some kind of service. We'll give this store a few more opportunities to do better, hire a night shift checker, and find better ways to take care of community members who can't/don't want to use self-checkout.

I have shopped here often and I must say the people that work here have always been helpful and kind. The store is consistently clean and well stocked. The prices on certain items can be a little steep but if you shop the sales and check the prices it's not usually an issue. The bakery offers fantastic choices and great donuts (when they are fresh) The store is always offering specialty items as well. Perfect if you we're putting together a gift basket or grabbing some good cheese and wine for a special occasion. They also have a very large selection of pre-made lunches and dinner items in their deli area. Overall it is a very nice and clean place to shop. Way to go Haagen management and employees! You always go above and beyond and it's noticed.

First, let me say I love this grocery store, and I will continue to shop here EXCEPT for our produce. The produce section is not up to par. There is an abundance of over ripe nearly rotten fruit, vegetables, and herbs every time I visit. The condition of the produce section has consistently gotten worse for the last couple of months. I hope things improve so I can do all of my shopping at one grocery store and not have to drive all around town to find high-quality, healthy food to feed my family.

SO RUDE. Staff is annoyed because I need to refill a Rx that isn’t showing up because their system crashed months ago and they never told anyone. Then walks away leaving me thinking she’s looking into it but isn’t. Serious attitude problem. Sorry for bothering you to do your job?

I only really stop in here because it's less than 5 minutes from my house but my daughter and I simply went for breakfast burritos to take home. The short-haired red head girl behind the counter cleary is racist. She didn't greet us, it was so obvious it was painful for her to even have to help us but she had no choice because the manager was standing right there, so she had to put on a fake show. She just threw our food on the counter, didn't ask if there was anything else we needed and didn't even offer my daughter salsa with her burrito, which apparently is supposed to come with it. If I ever return, I will make it VERY CLEAR that she not wait on my family. It was so obvious it's sad and pathetic. She should not be out front representing your store unless being a racist is the mission.

I've become more and more frustrated with this pharmacy each time I visit. I don't have issues with the staff. Usually a good experience on that note, but I can't seem to find a convenient time for me to pickup a prescription when the lines are not down the grocery aisle. It's been getting worse and worse. And the time it takes to handle each customer is terribly slow. Their computers were down recently, and although they are back up and running they are still having issues. How does a pharmacy have server issues for a week??Observations from experience from today:1) A customer at the counter was showing the staff the text message from the pharmacy showing that her prescriptions were ready but the clerk is saying that their computer is not letting them process the prescription, so the prescription aren't really ready and the text messages are going out in error.2) Another customer being told that her prescription isn't ready due to the shutdown,3) The customer directly in line behind me coughing up a lung while not wearing a mask4) the customer directly in line in front of me needing to purchase covid tests since she feels unwell.5) Just great, I'm surrounded by sick people and there is no other option but to wait inline.6) Finally, my turn. Only one prescription is ready. They promise they can get the 2nd one ready in 10-15 minutes if I want to wait around. I've agreed to that before. It was never 10-15 minutes as promised. Always much longer. And then to have to wait in that line all over again... No, I can't bear it any longer. I picked up my one and left. What is one to do when the line is that long and the pharmacy can't do anything to keep customers moving? During my entire wait time, I saw one customer use the drop off counter. Why not use that counter to process pick ups when the customer backlog is that long? The pharmacy has to know when the busy times are and should accommodate appropriately.

This pharmacy lost "Thousands of patients records" - quote from staff. They hid the issue from patients for weeks. There was no effort to contact patients about the issue. They would just let patients try to fill prescriptions online, it would look like everything worked. Then by the time the issue is noticed by the patients it was to late to resolve and doses were missed. Having this kind of issue and making no effort to contact patients is shameful at best and knowing letting a situation continue where people miss doses of medicine should be criminal.
