“Was looking for food while staying at the family cabin and The BLG appeared as the closest location for food. The reviews looked great so we headed over.For what seems like a small shop, it is very quaint and offers many items for sale from your typical gad station snacks like soft drinks and candy, to a full menu of hot food to beer and liquor. We got 2 orders of the chicken strips and fries and 1 order of the mac and cheese bites. 15 minutes later we had fantastic hot food. The mac and cheese bites were great and there had to have been a pound worth of fries and chicken apiece. If you find yourself in the Big Lake area this is sure to satisfy your cravings!”
“I have been using this location for 6 months now, twice a month because they accept vouchers through Catholic Community Services. Every time I have gone in its been either the owner or Stephen and I couldn't have been more satisfied!! They have never made me feel like my business wasn't as important as someone with cash, and are always friendly and conversational!! I will continue to fill up here after I'm done with the program that supplies the voucher just because of the fantastic service!! Stephen is such an amazing employee, always friendly, helpful, and always doing work, I've never seen him not working on something around the store!!!”

“Just stopped for water, I picked one up that was under $2. I had two $1 bills and a $20, after tax the water was $2.16. The gentleman behind the counter told me to not worry about it and he'll just take the $2. Will have to stop by again to make sure I pay him back, very kind of him to do this.”

“I was really bummed out when I found out Bruce and his wife had sold this store. After coming back I’m sure glad I did the new people that bought this store are awesome people very fair prices amazing people that will brighten your day every time. I feel like I’m shopping with a friend and I’m definitely glad I came back. I hope everyone gives this store your business they definitely will earn your loyalty and you will not want to use another store. I live in Arlington and I always wait to come to Mount Vernon for work to go to eagle mart I love these guys and I really hope they stay for a very long time.
