I do not recommend this vet at all, please be advised.
We lived in WA for a year and had 5 horses under Dr. Dana’s care. Unfortunately I was left very disappointed and felt she was overly confident/pompous for providing unsatisfactory care and advice. We are back in MT now and our vet is working to fix a float that Dr. Dana did on one of our geldings that lead to uneven wear and impaction. In said float she sedated them with 2 vials, although didn’t give satisfactory time for the first vial to kick in. When asked about freeze branding, she said confidently to hold it on there for a few minutes (not the case, all freeze branding times are less than a minute). We had a neurologic horse in our care and when we paid her to come out and test she diagnosed as not neurologic (horse was later diagnosed as such). There’s quite a few more examples in our herd and we regret using her.
She also was quite the gossip and appeared to treat her employees poorly.

Just dont unless its an emergency because long term you will end up with bills not results.

Dr. Dana is amazing. I’m grateful to have her as my equine veterinarian. I know my horse gets the best care with her and she is extremely knowledgeable and kind.

Daina not only arrived at the place i was picking up my first horse but she is the reason I still have her today 2 years later. I plan to have daina as my horses vet for the rest of her life

Very thorough, came to our farm and checked all of our horses, from a mini to a draft. We're knowledgeable, kind and caring. Great in a pinch as well.

Dr. Dana is not only an incredibly inspiring Veterinarian but also an incredible person with nothing but compassion to give back to her community. She works harder than anyone that I know for solely the love of the practice. She takes no short cuts at any given appointment and will give her full care and attention to both the animal’s owner and the animal itself. I know several people who have chosen Dr. Dana as their Veterinarian and refuse to see anyone else for these very reasons. I am very greatful to be able to ride along and learn from her every Monday.
