Very poor customer service. Or at least when you can get someone to help you. The Mercer Island branch and Interbay branch don't seem to have any bankers around. Why go in if all they can do is what I can do at an ATM or online. Customer service via phone is not so good either. Rates of return are low and there are fees on checking accounts. I'd look elsewhere if I were just opening an account.

The indifferent customer service at the Mercer Island branch is disappointing. I've been banking here for years and thought it would be easy enough to have WF notarize a document I needed to send off. Tried calling several times to make an appointment. No one answers the phone. Tried online with no success, so decided to drive there in person to set up an appointment. The teller I approached quickly said she didn't handle that and passed me over to the woman standing next to her who was busy with some paperwork. She never looked up and kept going through her pile. Not a word as to when she could help and when I finally said maybe I should leave and have another place do it, she said-- OK. And that was that. If you're expecting any sort of customer service here, better look elsewhere.

They've changed their hours to 9 to noon on a Saturday. Little pieces of paper are stuck on the doors. This makes this branch kinda useless if you have regular hours.

This is one of those "get off my lawn" reviews. I have been banking at this branch for many many many years. It's always been super convenient and the staff was very friendly. They usually go out of their way to help. Recently however due to Covid, the usual level of customer service and helpfulness that I have grown to enjoy, has evaporated. Requiring an appointment is ridiculous. Under normal circumstances having an appointment would be super helpful. But there are those times that you need something done immediately. Unfortunately the appointment system doesn't allow for that. Three times I have I needed to get something done immediately, but have been unable to find an appointment on the day that I need to get something done. On one recent visit I wanted to open a joint account only to be told that I cannot do this without the second party present in person. I asked if there was anyway I could do any of this online and I was told no. Emphatically no. I have only recently found that I could do what I was looking to do online. So this misinformed personal banker who is there for my convenience only, inconvenienced me.Further, on the three occasions that I have tried to get an appointment on the days that I needed - upon being told "no they don't have time available " every single personal banker had nobody sitting in front of them. I'm super frustrated at this point.Wells Fargo and the branch management really need to figure out a better system because the current one is not working.

I have been a Wells Fargo customer for years and have always been very pleased with the wonderful customer service. I manage a business right around the corner from the Bank on MMercer Island. I have gotten change there for several years due to BofA's horrible set rice and have been treated wonderfully. Today however, I was treated horribly. A teller with no name badge and very rude told me that in the future if I don't have a business account I can not get change. My children and I all have accounts as well as a loan through WF. This guy was not nice or friendly and not at all an example of the friendly neighborhood bank I have always loved. I am extremely disappointed and will send my friends and family elsewhere from now on and re think my banking situation.

If you are looking for a great bank to work with, this is the branch to do it at. They have taken holds off of checks when I needed it and credited back overdraft fees, which is perfect right before the holidays! I'm never leaving this branch!

Avoid Wells Fargo/Mercer Island if you are looking for home mortgage. Probably some good folks over there but our mortgage person cost us the house we had a contract to buy and our earnest money. Probably common in the industry, but don't be fooled by the "no problem, we can get this closed quickly for you" approach when they are trying to earn your business. Overall, just bad communication and experience. I'll never do business at any level with Wells Fargo again.

I use a lot of banks on behalf of my clients and this is my favorite bank in town. Service is always prompt. The tellers and bankers are all very courteous. I love that they are open until 6pm, even on Saturday.

Really pleased with the service at this branch. So much of my banking is done online but the couple of times I need to make a large withdrawal/deposit or visit the safe deposit box, this is the branch I head to even though there is another closer to home. The assistant manager Deepa is wonderful--my experience with her makes me happy to be doing my business (checking/mortgage) with Wells Fargo.

The teller Robert has a great smile and is always ready to make my day better. :) The rest of the office is personable, reasonable and knowledgeable. It's always a happy experience going into this branch. I feel that they have the ability to efficiently take care of any issue I may have :)

Wells Fargo was my first choice after I left my credit union after 35 years and I must have found a bad branch staffed by Goober monkey morons. They take liberties with my account at their own discretion and try to pawn it off on me as if their inability to leave my account alone is my fault. The Bothell branch and north Bellevue branches are awesome... these guys in Mercer Island, it's like a circus with a mangy bearded fat lady and a three legged donkey they dressed up to play an elephant. Getting account changes wrong and the people who play "banker" they staff seem to have little to no empathy other than that which their manager tells them. No internal ownership of the customers needs nor do they seem to acutely understand how to ask questions, listen, write down notes and remember me for more than "that guy who complains" You screw up my account and yes I will complain, you do a good job and I compliment you. Go above and beyond and I write a letter to your regional manager asking for you to get a raise, you help me and I help you = customer service. The ONLY person here worth her salt is the manager Tami, she's remembered my name and works hard to serve but the others might get stars for sales but I would have those chiseled off the wall for being ignorant of how to give the level of service I expected from Wells Fargo. This isn't Chase or B of A, this is Wells Freaking Fargo, someone forgot to tell you that you are or were a premium bank. Shakin my head. Tami needs a raise and the red head kid is polite as well.
