Absolutely best place. My Maltese snowball has been going there for 4 years and I will not take him anywhere else!

This dog grooming place has the lowest review and most availability in the kind bellevue area for a reason. The owner Tess has no respect for her customers and mentally not stable to take care of your dog. Here's what I was treated:I arrived at 1:39pm and she said she cannot host me because my appointment was at 2pm. I said you told me to come at 1:30pm - 2pm and that's why I arrived at this time. She responded: "well, I don't recall". I'm not happy by the response. I kept silence for a while and told her I needed to drop off my dog now because I have work to go back to.Then she started her long nagging for 10 minutes about how polite she is by saying "I don't recall", and how impolite I'm by giving her a cold shoulder because I kept silence after her response. She uses my identity against me, saying: "We are both asians, and I'm older than you." This is her justification of teaching me what's politeness and respect. Then she sends me off my after her lecture. She is a very typical fake and mental unstable person. I can imagine her mental instability hurt your dog as long as she is unhappy.

Could not rave more about Tesslan and their grooming duo. I took my puppy Sadie there for the first time today and they did a fantastic job of not only easing my nerves, but also Sadie’s. She’s previously been tapped out of a grooming but their dedication and patience allowed Sadie to get the ideal doodle cut we were looking for. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a new groomer, and couldn’t be more grateful for their care, attentiveness, and passion for giving our Sadie the best experience possible.

Tess is absolutely amazing!! Tess and her team takes great care of my babies as if they were their own! My senior girl gets tired easily, and I know she can get breaks as she needs them throughout her grooming. My lottle boy gets so stressed going to the groomer, but being allowed to hang out with his big sister helps to put him at ease!!

Thank you Tess and team! You totally saved our pouch. Our portie has just recovered from an extended illness and was due for grooming when that started, so he has been a terrible state when we found Tesslan. He is also considerably bigger than her regular clients but she had a plan and was able to accommodate his nervous energy. Our previous grooming experince had been with the big box stores, and we are really happy to have found some one we can make appointments with again and again. Also love to support a local small business. Thank you!

I use to have this place as a 4 star but my opinion and experience has changed… sometime the staff would be rude and I couldn’t even bring my dog in 5 min before my appointment. Staff have been inconsistent and grooming times were always long.In response to your reply…Your response is very unprofessional and I would like to add that this is me, I’m not who you are saying I am. This is how I felt about coming in for grooming service. Your staff that you have hired are not welcoming and are rude. You as the owner, should be more professional and guide your staff to provide better customer service. However you feel, just take note on your actions, words, and services. I wish you improvement on your professionalism and all the best on your business.

I had the best grooming experience here! My dog is anxious and hates getting her nails trimmed. I wanted to find a consistent groomer that would work with my dog in a patient, caring way through the grooming experience. Not only did Tess fit me in on short notice, but she and her staff also did such an amazing job creating a positive experience for me and my dog. I couldn’t recommend Tesslan Dog Spa more.

I have never seen him that calm with any vet or groomer attending to him before! He has such bad separation anxiety that we have been turned away by groomers before. But at Tesslan his nail trim went very smoothly with no signs of stress both during and after his time there. His nails have been a huge stress for us and we will be returning in hopes to shorten his quick time a normal length. They truly take their time to care for your dog even as far as to watch for signs of stress in their body language, aromatherapy formulated for dogs, and multiple employees at his side.

I did not have a great experience here with my dog. Tess did take my dog on quick notice so I was appreciative of that but Tess then demanded that I bring her back in 4 weeks to reduce her anxiety with grooming. Also when my dog came home she would not come out of her bed for a few hours and she seemed very irritated. Tess said they had to bathe her 3 times. Who bathes a dog 3 times??? I canceled the 4 week appt due to traveling and looked at my dog and she definitely was not even close to needing another groom yet. Tess texted me that my dog could not come back to her salon since I could not bring her every 4 weeks. I had no plans of taking her back after the $175 ridiculous charge for "2 groomers " needed for a 13 lb dog.

I too was hesitant to post but after seeing other reviews, I now can see we were not the only customers treated poorly, overcharged and then thrown to the curb. In October and upon a recommendation by a neighbor, we booked 2 appointments for our 1 year old and 5 month old maltese mix dogs that weigh 7 lbs and 5 lbs. The older dog had been groomed several times before, the younger one this was his first. We were quoted $70 per dog for the works. Upon picking them up, we noticed the cuts were just so so but the younger dog was so eager to get out we just left it . Then came the lecture from the owner. She pulled out a a tangle of hair the size of my thumb and proceeded to lecture me about how she can not work with dogs that have mats and she will have to charge us extra. How extra? $50 per dog extra. What should have been a bill for $140 was $220 with no explanation about why we were charged extra for the older dog when the mat came from the younger dog. We paid plus tip and then she demanded we book out in 6 weeks or not to come back. Silly us, we did just that thinking that if the dogs got a more regular groom things would be better. In between grooms, we received a mass email to all clients that was one of the most bizarre emails I have ever received. It was from the owner lecturing us all on how the dogs must not go to the bathroom in her salon, mats would cause her to cancel service, being on time and the list of grievances went on and on. For someone with a business, I can not imagine ever speaking to my customers like that even if the complaints were legitimate. The final straw was we did take the boys back and everyone seemed happy to see them. We picked them up right on time and again, there was a bit of an uneveness to the cuts but the boys seemed happy so we were. Then, the owner pulled out a mat from the older dog that was the size of my thumb and really went to town lecturing us mats and it is our fault because we hold the dog in our arms wrong and on and on. Oh and the cost? $240. Again, it was due to mats and the younger dog being "busy". The final insult? She said she would not longer groom our dogs because they were not trained to behave in a salon. So folks, if these groomers can not handle a 5 lb puppy and a 7 lb. dog because they are "busy", then I invite you to reflect on how they will treat your dog. Weirdest business owner I have ever met.

I was a little hesitant about this place because of some of the bad reviews but took the plunge. I now see why the majority of bad reviews is really based on the rude attitude of this lady Tess. This spa is supposed to be soothing and relaxing yet this lady absolutely is neither of these things towards clients. My advice is stay clear because if she treats people like this over small things who knows what she does behind the scenes. I had left her a message wanting to book an appointment with my dog 2 days prior. Then 1 morning I woke and saw a message from her saying she had a cancelled appointment tomorrow and I could have it if I replied right away. So I replied saying I would take it. In my message I clearly specified the day of the week time and date which was for the next day and asked her to confirm back. She confirmed it so I went about my day. Later I get a call from her saying the appointment was for today and where was I? Turns out she had sent the message the night before around 10:30pm which I had not noticed the time stamp since it was so late and I was already in bed but as I said she confirmed the day and date. I was polite and apologetic as it was obviously miscommunication but this lady ranted how I was at fault and how I wasted her time etc etc. Who treats people this way? This lady was incredibly rude and then had the nerve to say she didn't want to argue with me when I pointed out that she should look back at my message. Read her replies to the other reviews and you'll see exactly what I mean.

The owner is a very talented groomer, she does what she needs to do pretty well. But she is also not great in communication and very very judgmental. She has been complaining about her short in staff, I could assume why. Her charge is pretty expensive side like 200 for full service, and complains a lot about our dog. My dog didn't like to be held at all but trying to jump in my hand to take her out at our last visit. I think I could find her much better place for our dog.

I do not recommend this groomer. In my opinion, they do not care about your pet's well being. High staff turnover.

I took my pug for the first time today to get his nails and ears cleaned. I think I was more nervous than my dog because he hasn't liked/had the best experiences in the past.... well today that changed. I had the best experience at Tesslan. They were beyond helpful and eased all the anxiety of the usual experience. I will only be using them moving forward for my 11 year old pug/best friend!! Great great job!!! Thankful for the care and LOVE you gave my family member
