If you think you can go into a pharmacy these days and not run into long lines or occasional confusion, then you must not be leaving in Seattle or even the United States. Pharmacies and closing, staff are in short supply and we are still plagued with supply chain shortages. Yet, Mercer Island Rite Aid Pharmacy almost always rises above these challenges. The pharmacists are excellent and two of them, Parisa and Bernice have taken care of my family for decades. Out of necessity, they are always training new employees. I find the new staff to always be polite and to do their best. You will get a better experience at Rite than just about any place I can imagine; just to be sure to factor in what the current state of the pharmacy business is before you do an arbitrary review. They are great!!Dave

Front desk lady consistently yells at me and my friends. Cause some kids with curly hair stole some stuff. I have curly don’t steal ever so rude. Just now we got kicked out for looking at a paper towel roll. Terrible service too I don’t wanna go anymore. 0/10

Under-staffed and therefore no customer service at the pharmacy.

Really appreciate the pharmacy services here. They helped me get medication at another pharmacy as they didn't stock a particular kind. Sometimes there is a little wait for a few minutes, but nothing like the hot mess that is Wallgreens on the north end. Staff is great and store is always clean.

Had a bit of a challenge with insurance and they took the time to figure it out on my behalf. And were incredibly kind and helpful when I think most would be irritated with the inconvenience. Thank you for your help!!

Everyone at the pharmacy has been kind in the past and they got things taken care of quickly today when we needed a prescription before they closed. They acknowledged they missed a voicemail so they only had 15 minutes to fill it for us, but they made it happen!

My gf and I have been struggling to work with this rite aid since moving back. Team at this pharmacy seem to be incompetent and illmanaged. Team is failing to review and accurately refill prescriptions for patients with admittedly does have more than few prescriptions needed at least monthly. Calling is impossible because(or so we thought) this location is so busy. In reality their team is intentionally ignoring the phones while underburdened. To test this, as the only people in line, i called the pharmacy line 10 times in a row. I could hear it ringing non stop on the opposite side of the pharmacy from the pickup window. They are ignoring the phones intentionally. I dont know if its because have been mean over the phones but this location is nothing special. There are plenty of pharmas in our region that deal with higher volume all day and continue to MANAGE their phone lines. Hell, even the walgreens down the street has a robot try and talk the dummies through prescription refills before you wait in a queue for the pharmacist.

The store manager wearing a glasses was awful. He can’t even do his job right. An unreasonable person + Rude + Rude + Rude.

Might be the worst place for an Instacart pick up order.

This Rite-Aid pharmacy hangs up repeatedly when I attempt to call in-person. I would not need to call in person if A) re-ordering prescriptions online was a clearer process, B) if I could trust them to call me if there was an issue with refilling a prescription, C) if I could trust them to notify me in a timely manner when the prescription is filled. But since they cannot or do not reliably carry out any of those necessary tasks in relation to prescriptions, I then must call them--which they also fail at. So then I resort to driving to the pharmacy physically in-person, stand in line anywhere between 10-25 minutes JUST to ask if my prescriptions have been received. Sometimes they have, sometimes they have not. I am currently trying to figure out a better arrangement, maybe Amazon or Costco will do better.

I love this pharmacy and they are very helpful and knowledgeable. James was a pleasure to work with and they are always so quick and responsive.

Way better than the Walgreens here but nothing is ever in stock and the lines get ridiculously long.

The pharmacy just puts you on hold and then decline the call. I understand they are busy, but isn't answering the phone to take orders for elderly who do not know how to use the computer, also part of their job? Just so frustrating trying to get through to them.

Won't answer phone. Keep getting hung up on. Mobility limited and I need to talk to a person in the pharmacy. Very disappointing.

This place randomly closes early. Went in on Sunday 20 minutes before closing after flooring it from my doctor's, in so much pain I was about to have an anxiety attack, only to sprint through the door to a closed pharmacy. It's happened before on a weekday. I'd call beforehand if you're in a similar situation. I agree with the other reviewers: they're clearly understaffed. Employees seem to be doing their best given the situation. I should be more pissed about it, but hey, the job admittedly sucks. I'm honestly just glad people are willing to do it still. It's got to rank up there among the worst. It's one of those dumb jobs that machines can't replace, for some reason.
