The post office was closed during business hours out of the blue, it was not a holiday, not an official lunch break, just a regular Monday at 1:20 pm.

I would give one star but the 2 first people I dealt with were very kind. I’ve been coming here to print off shipping labels with QR codes because I sell earrings online. The first 2 times I’ve been here the people were very nice. Anytime after that I’ve dealt with the same younger man and he is not pleasant. He makes you seem like your presence is a burden, rushes you out in 5 seconds. Their internet was down when I went in, so I was told to go to another post office and I did. I came back a couple days later with a QR code and the guy sees me and immediately says the internet is still down and has a snide remark of “you know you can go to another post office” yes, I have but this is the closest one and I figured after a few days your internet would be running again. Don’t worry though, I ordered a shipping label printer so I will never have to go back and deal with your bad attitude and feeling stupid for coming to the post office for a service that is offered. :)

Knocked on my door while I was in the bathroom. By the time I went outside they were driving away. They did not leave an attempted delivery note on my door, as they are supposed to. Totally incompetent--what if I had been at work when that happened.

We just had another package left hanging ON our mailbox in a plastic bag! Mind you we live on Hwy 206 and this is a very busy highway so anyone could just stop and grab it. We cannot see our mailbox from our house so thank goodness our neighbor told us about the package. My husband went to talk to the postmaster at the Mead post office and apparently there isn’t a postmaster there right now. When asked when there would be, he didn’t know. The mailman in the post office could care less about our situation. Basically shrugged it off and said to call 1-800-ask-usps. My husband then asked, should someone have stole the package, who would’ve been responsible? He didn’t answer and told him again to call that number or leave a note for our delivery person. Are you kidding me!? Another government agency going down the toilet!

I have been dealing with the Mead post office for 16 years and even though I really like my mail carrier, when he's gone my mail doesn't get delivered like it should. This last week my mail hasn't been delivered to my mailbox twice. I'm disabled and can no longer walk to the mail stand and my mail is delivered to my house, not this last week. Even though I called on the first incident, and was assured it would be taken care of Monday, it wasn't. I've called 60 times this afternoon and NOBODY WILL ANSWER THE PHONE. It's very annoying when you know people are there and nobody will answer.

I’ve never had such bad experiences with a post office since moving out to Mead.I was supposed to have a package delivered and when it didn’t show up, I filed online that it was missing. They marked my package as “Delivered at door” but after being in contact with a super helpful woman at the Colbert office who was helping this USPS, named Dory, she informed me a carrier named Monica (?) had actually delivered it at the bottom of our drivewayc even though it was said delivered at door. Monica (?) left a voicemail I could barely hear or decipher saying she lefr the package in a plastic bag at the bottom of our driveway near the end of the road!! It was never found and was told this carrier was “talked to”. I would much rather come pick it up then pay $40 for my product to be shipped again for the SECOND time!! Horrible. I hope they get some help or better training because I’m so upset this happened. Now i’m out $40 because of how inconsiderate this carrier was.

I find it odd that our mail is consistently late and generally mixed up. Even yesterday with light rain, I got a notice that my mail, which was out for delivery, was delayed because of weather. I guess the postman's creed is no longer applicable.

I don’t know whether my regular carrier is on vacation, or if the USPS has changed their delivery policy for rural routes. In the last week we have had five packages returned to the post office because they could not be delivered for an unspecified reason. Our carrier has always brought them to the house when they would not fit in the box (which is one of the large rural boxes). She has always given excellent service and we have been well pleased with her service. The last parcel this happened to was scanned in to the post office at 2:19, scanned as attempted at 5:07 and scanned as available for pick up also at 5:07. This was an Amazon package that it brings to the post office for final delivery. What is going on?I am retired from the post office. Over 20 years giving the best service I could, so I am disappointed to see this lapse in customer service. Is it going to be this way from now on?A reply would be appreciated.

The postman is consistently folding my mail in half for no reason. Not to mention i have gad several packages beeimg damaged because he just carelessly throws them in the yard. The icing in the cake is that today I had several packages arriving and when I went to check on them the tracking said he had supposedly attempted delivering them which he did not since ive been sitting on my couch all morning waiting for them.

unfortunately the standards for postal employees must have reached the bottom. I can no longer have packages delivered to my home address because they cannot read, and deliver them to someone else. You would think the standard would be higher
