Very convenient location of the hotel: near the ski slopes, a coffee shop where you can drink morning coffee and eat a croissant, and a cafe where you can take lunch / brunch. The room was clean. The only downside is that the room is very small and the atmosphere in the hotel is a bit oppressive (perhaps if add music in the lobby, this gloom will disappear). Otherwise, everything is fine. There is a friendly reception and there is a hot tub with a sauna.

Various rooms and cabins but all clean and will cared for. We miss the restaurant, especially the excellent breakfast they used to serve.

We hosted a long weekend wedding here and had a fantastic time being so close to the national park and Winthrop. The rooms in the Inn are nice and the entire place is very calming and great to spend time in nature. All of our guests were pleasantly surprised with how updated everything was. We were able to even have a bonfire after the fire ban lifted. They are offering breakfast now on the weekends and the waffles are incredible!Andy and team are fantastic! We can't wait to come back and celebrate our anniversary in the future.

Disappointing experience trying to cancel our reservations this weekend due to the numerous fires in the area. Similar to another reviewer, there was little communication and understanding from the Inn.We booked directly with the Inn. There was no offer to rebook or sympathy, just simple response copy/pasting a portion of what the national park website already states about the fire. What isn’t mentioned in the communication is the fact that SR20 can close any time due to fire risk without notice, and owner/Inn just suggests that we still come as if nothing is impacted.Just asking you to consider the response to those traveling from afar to come visit the national park, is it reasonable that we double the drive time and come from a different direction, while not being able to visit the park, in the middle of several active fire risks.

We recently booked a stay here at the Inn at Mazama for a planned hiking trip to North Cascades National Park. Unfortunately, the park is closed due to the Sourdough fire. I reached out to Jim 3 days prior to our arrival date to let him know we could like to cancel the reservation and requested a refund as the wildfire is sadly out of our control and our long awaited trip would have to be canceled. He refused a refund stating that the Inn was not affected by the fire, but refused to acknowledge that the park was closed and thus the reason for our booked stay. He refused to reply to any further messages. I love supporting small, local businesses and it is sad when they are not willing to work with customers/guests especially when they are considerate enough to message with ample time so they could rebook the room and are facing something out of their control. Very, very disappointed in the leadership and customer service here. Would not recommend. We are planning to reschedule this trip and will make it a point to not support this business. Shame on you for being greedy, Jim.Appears in other poor reviews that they have a tendency to not take ownership for any issues. Poor, poor customer service.

I had a great stay at the Inn at Mazama a few weeks ago, located conveniently next to SR-20 (North Cascades Scenic Byway), and lots of charming towns in and near the Methow Valley. The room was clean and I enjoyed spending time on the private porch under the stars. Management were very communicative over text, allowing for an easy late check-in, and even mailing my bag of toiletries to me that I mistakenly left behind (thank you again for your help with that!!). The Sourdough Fire caused the closure of SR-20 during my stay, and management were helpful and accommodative amid the unfortunate disruption. Special shout-out to the cute town of Mazama, with a delicious bakery at the Mazama Store and great local beers at the Mazama Public House.

I would absolutely not recommend staying here during the summertime if you are planning to spend time in North Cascades National Park. There are frequently wildfires in the area during the summer months and they refuse any refunds if you are unable to make your reservation due to SR 20 being shut down or the trails in the park being closed due to the wildfires. They will allow for you to reschedule your stay within 6 months IF there is an evacuation order for the area around Mazama and you are forced to leave OR if there is extremely heavy smoke from the wild fires.I booked directly with the hotel. I reached out on Aug 6, and which was 3.5 weeks prior to my stay (Sept 1st) indicating that I was worried about the fires and asking about cancellation. I was unable to cancel even that far in advance and it was just a few days past the 30 day cancellation deadline.Don’t risk it, just book somewhere else.Sad to see local business losing future repeat guests for a quick money grab.

We booked 2 nights at The Inn at Mazama when our campsites at Colonial Creek were cancelled last minute due to the Sourdough Fire. Jim was confident that the fires were an hour away and the highway could be open when we travel. Highway 20 was closed and air quality was poor in the Mazama area and the manager expected us to still drive 6+ hours out of the way to keep our reservations. We had to scramble to make accommodations when our Colonial Creek campsites were cancelled a week before our trip and then for Jim to not allow us to cancel when the highway was closed during our trip was disappointing. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again due to not allowing us to cancel due to a wildfire out of our control. We are from Ohio, so a credit does us no good.

Lovely quaint quiet rooms. Clean and well stocked. Staff friendly and helpfull. Well groomed grounds. This place is way up un the mountains. No TV no cellphone service. Gteat place to get away from it all. Would love to come again when it's not so hot and smokey. We came mid August hot and fire season.

Such a cute spot! There’s a restaurant/brewery, boutique grocery store, and trails all within walking distance. The rooms are updated with fridge, microwave, coffee, and new shower. Check-in was seamless, as well. Can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!

Stayed here the day we got off the PCT. No one was in the office and it was after hours. With no where to go, we called the host who's number was on the door and she was able to get us a room. The room had air conditioning, soft bed and pillows and an amazing shower. I do recommend calling ahead to get rooms they book fast even in the middle of the week.

An absolute hidden gem that we cannot wait to come back to! We stayed for one night while we hiked in the Cascades and this inn was incredible. A few of our favorite parts about this inn included: a beautiful location and scenery, accessible by foot to restaurants, amenities to spare (hot tub, pool, etc), one of the most comfortable beds, and just a spectacular stay! We are coming back here as soon as we can! Mazama and this inn are magical and we loved it!

Excellent location. Every day we started skiing right by our car. We enjoyed the attic room and the hot tub. Didn't use the sauna but it is working too. The staff at the inn were very friendly and accommodating. Hope to revisit when we get a chance!Nearby activities: Crosscountry skiing. Ski lessons.
