Gym recently got purchased and they've made tremendous improvements. Increased the squat racks, put in more hamstring machines, and the hours are increasing soon. They put a grandfather program for those of us from the old gym which was kind of them.

Went to ask about the broken sauna. before I could even finish asking the question I was met with a “yeah why don’t you go fix it then” from personal trainer DJ Blair then walked away and ignored me. Never met the dude, not sure what his issue is but probably not the best way to have employees talk to clients. I was actually going to offer to fix it as I’m a licensed electrician. This gym is fine for lifting, but it’s dirty and unsanitary, every time I picked my gym bag up off the ground there was dust bunnies and clumps of hair stuck to it, I’ve never seen it be vacuumed. Mens bathroom floor was constantly wet with on the ground. It was better before Big Iron bought it, but now it has “cool lights”.

I've been a member at this gym for 3 years and I must rave about how much the new owners, Jamie and Laura truly care about this place and helping everyone thrive and succeed. They pour into their clientele, they've been working tirelessly to upgrade and bring in new equipment to help us all meet our goals, and the atmosphere is much friendlier and more positive since they took over ownership. This gym is a haven for bodybuilders and anyone serious about getting into shape.

Joining Big Iron has been the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I joined in May of 2023 and have lost over 40 pounds so far. I’ve never felt so supported. They offer multiple membership plans to choose from as well as great amenities at the new Marysville location. Plus posing clinics! The owners Jamie and Laura are very involved and have created the most amazing community. The staff/trainers are very welcoming and always there to answer questions or help out with a spot. The vibe Big Iron Gym environment gives is unmatched to any gym I’ve been too. I love that it’s more than just a place to workout, it’s like a second home. You can’t put a price on your health and while it’s a little bit more than your basic gym, you pay for what you get. 10/10 recommend!

This gym is totally a vibe! I love the added colored lights they put up, and the changes they have made since the previous owners of hitt fitness. They also have more than enough machines to be able to get a solid work out in. The staff and owner is very friendly! I can tell they are constantly wanting to create the best environment for their customers! Highly recommend!!

I have been going to BIG-Marysville for three months and I love it, friendly staff, gym is accommodating, clean and has a fun atmosphere. I have been followed by my trainer Mya for tough workouts and Adrienne helps keep my diet in check, these girls are my biggest cheerleaders!!! It is so nice to be a part of this gym and the tools they provide me to be successful:))

I recently have moved back into the area and joined this gym once again after a previous ownership. The new staff are very friendly. The gym has been reorganized, repainted, rearranged, and added to. I was very impressed with the hands-on attitude by the owners. Friendly environment and impressive professionalism from head trainer DJ. They have a very supportive female group of athletes with motivating coaches like Adrienne, a posing and nutrition coach. This facility is definitely worth a tour.

Jamie and Laura are by far the nicest and most respectful people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I left this gym summer 2023 and quickly came back when I heard that big iron was taking over. The community is fantastic. They welcome everyone with open arms and not to mention I finally found a gym with other women who love and respect one another! So happy to be a part of this team and this community

Great staff, very capable trainers and nutrition coaches. Lots of specialty equipment for folks really invested in their training. You'll have access to cryotherapy, saunas, red light and tanning as well. There are also some pretty decent snack options for your pre and post workout treats! Owners are on site often and are both lovely people.Be aware that this is a body building gym so the music is often loud and there can be some grunting and weights clanging! It's a perfect environment to push yourself if that's what you're into. All around a great space with good vibes!

Wish this stayed HitFitness, previous staff and owners acted and treated you like guest/gym customers. Not "bros".They said they'd keep your old member price and didnt.Previous staff at least said hi/bye or welcome.Instead your greated with "what's up?" from supposedly the GM.I've literally stood at the front desk waiting for help infront of the owner and not even a can I help you.Are you just here to expand and up your prices and push people out who just want to have a home gym thats welcoming and not be apart of the physic shows. All black walls doesn't make it feel welcoming. Can't go back to the Everett one, $60. No way.Charging that much when the owner used to go to peak fitness in everett that was like $25 a month .Everytime I come here after the change the more I don't want to stay to even work out.The work out room, floor is filthy not vacuumed or mopped. Hair and dust everywhere. And a drip look as a paint job. No. It's alllll bad. Quit. Will never go back. Don't recommend.

I was so pumped to come to this gym. It was the one thing I was most excited about doing this 2024, and I was left really disappointed. This is my honest review of my experience here. The gym itself is pretty cool. They have cryo machines, a massage therapist, a barber, subbed, saunas, a posing room, and much more.I decided to sign up for training and coaching 4x a week with the goal of having them train both me and my best friend privately at my home (yes, I was fully invested). I was an extremely motivated client looking to make big changes to my lifestyle and I assumed Big Iron could help me achieve that.I was wrong.I remember meeting DJ for the first time in their Seattle location. I was pushed strongly on pricing and to sign up. It was suffocating. He gave me a mediocre training lesson. I had a really bad feeling about it all, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and messages DJ after my “session” to sign up. To my surprise, the price suddenly increased $200. I, again, felt very pressured to sign up for a 6 month contract with them. After lots of bargaining, we settled on doing a month-to-month one because I had a funky feeling about the gym (thank god I did). They quickly put my card on file and got me settled in.In only two days, I had around $2,000 worth of unauthorized transactions made by this gym on my credit card. I was in shock. And this wasn’t only one transaction. There were multiple of them. I was quoted one price, but charged another. I felt so violated and scammed.Yet, out of desperation to reach my New Year’s resolution, I decided to give them one last shot. While I signed up with DJ to train both me (and later my best friend), he cancelled on me after a few sessions likely because his girlfriend had issues with training me. His girlfriend, Adrienne, FaceTimed me to discuss my “nutrition plan”, but kept questioning me on why DJ was my trainer in a very hostile and frustrated fashion. It put me in a very uncomfortable position because I was nothing but professional with all of the Big Iron staff. After some convincing, Laura (one of the owner’s of the gym) was able to provide me with a refund. She tried to reconcile the situation but I honestly couldn’t bear anymore mistakes or uncomfortable interactions. I was relieved because I made a big financial investment in this (and planned on spending much more) and it didn’t feel fair to be charged.I had really high hopes for this gym, but the unprofessional demeanor of a few of the trainers and $2000 worth of unauthorized transactions on my account left a really sour taste in my mouth. I hope they make some changes soon.
