I got a misfire reading on my car, and after I swapped out the plugs and 1 of the coils on my 2011 Acura MDX, and it was running really rough. I called Buds and wound up bringing it in because when you call you can't get a word in as Steve is ushering you into their web. Once in the shop I was they'd have to run diagnostics, which I felt reasonably sure would root out the issue. They determined that the head gasket was blown, but in talking to him, he started bringing up all these other potential issues and I started to get the feel that they would do anything else that they could in service of the "problem" that they had diagnosed. I was told the radiator (not leaking) needed to be replaced, as well as the water pump, the timing belt, and all the hoses. I had just had the water pump and timing belt replaced 6 months earlier so I knew that didn't need to be done. He kept talking about the quality of their parts, and that he "didn't want to put his name on" the parts that I had installed (autolite plugs), even going so far as to say that the oil changes they do are a cut above the rest. Oil is oil as far as I'm concerned and I maintain my cars pretty well, always using synthetic and getting it changed every 5K miles or so. After he quoted me ~$6700 bucks for all the repairs, which rouchly equaled the value of my car, I decided there was no way I was going to work with this guy. I called a few other shops and within 20 minutes found a shop that would perform the same service to replace the head gasket, not add in a ton of work not needed, and do it for less than $3K.
Not my bud, that's for sure. Not yours either.

I brought my car in because the engine light came on. Since I was from out of town and heading home that morning, they agreed to squeeze me in. Most mechanics would see me as a female and easily manipulated into spending thousand of dollars on parts probably not needed. Bud’s Auto repair did not make me feel that way at all. In fact, they did not charge me. They ran the diagnostics, fully explained what needed to be replaced but reassured me that I would make it home safe. Steve gave me great advice on the parts needed. I really appreciate the time they took and the care they gave. I recommend Bud’s Auto Repair for all automotive needs. Thank you!!

This is a great auto repair facility. 10* staff and leadership. The prices for repairs and diagnostic service are great. The service advisor explains everything they are going to do as well as what they find. They are ready with estimates for the repairs they find and the end price is within 10% of the estimate, which is very normal in the industry. I have been in the auto industry all my life and these people are the real deal.

Steve and Trevor when speaking with them on the phone were very professional and friendly. They kept me updated on issues with my vehicle and what repairs would be needed. Once completed, I was told my vehicle was ready for pickup. I highly recommend this business for any and all repairs needed.

I had a great experience with Bud's Auto repair and transmission. Their customer service is amazing! And steve worked with me and explained to me about what was going on with my car and the best way to deal with it and he worked with the price. I highly recommend this place to everyone

I was having issues with my wheel bearings on my Toyota 4runner that I needed to get them pressed. I called many places, got the run around with no luck and found these guys. I was so happy to hear they provided this service. I was told it wasn't an easy job but managed to get it done. Thanks to the team that made this possible. They even stayed past closing time for me to pick up my part. You all rock!! Thank u again for such great service!!

My primary vehicle broke down on a friday, they accepted the vehicle the following monday and addressed my issue as well as 3 others that needed imediate attention and had me back on the road in a weeks time.

I had such an incredible experience coming in for a pre purchase inspection. Steve squeezed me in super last minute on a Friday. The staff was so friendly and informative. They saved me from buying a car with a blown head gasket and even gave me a discount on their services. I will be going back.
