There are so many things to say about this amazing place. I’ll start with the staff: Genuinely kind, caring, compassionate people who want the best for all who enter. They will treat you with dignity and respect and I have been lucky to witness this time and again. The store is set up for a wonderful shopping experience, shopping cart and all. The volunteers are the backbone to making this possible and they come in abundance to help out. The Maple Valley Food Bank are unlike any other food bank. They’re special just like the community members they are there to serve and it’s an honor to be a part of it.

If you follow me, you'll know I and my family moved here in 1954. Many of the volunteers and workers at the Food Bank are known to me personally. They don't come Any better.
One disappointment: I went there right after my landlord and I were evicted. An old friend recognized me and Introduced me to Alejandro. This guy promised me a living arrangement within a week. He chauffeured me, that day, to Federal Way and I was told again that they could help. It never materialized until July 1st. I was homeless until June 15 when I ended up finding my own place. A great example of how the nonprofit system in our nanny state needs to be dismantled and replaced. No one I met on the streets in three counties was ever helped by a nonprofit except for one nice gentleman from Capitol Hill in Seattle. Don't donate to any nonprofit except for our dear and awesome food bank.

The first time I went here I had had misplaced my wallet I called to speak to someone left a text and sent an email someone responded back to me and I was able to go pick my wallet up the next day once it was found thank you all very much ?

Absolutely incredible what they do here, they were generous enough to help me get out of a bad spot and even helped with Christmas ??? every one is so kind and friendly!

Good resource to go use for food not much for babies, the wait was long because if you get there at 9 you get a ticket so they call numbers randomly so if you show up when they open it dont matter i was told by staff best time to go is in the afternoon they save food for a.m. and p.m. so they wont run out of the good stuff so next time i go ill be going later after 12 noon and DONT FORGET YOUR BAGS!!!!
