The new PVC decking has none of the downside of composite. It is much more scratch resistant and maintenance free, requiring only soap and water cleaning. Its surface does not permit absorption so it prevents staining and mold growth,
is also lighter in weight, which is easier on your deck framing. It has all of the look and feel of wood without the maintenance.
