horrible return policy, 1. they don't tell you 60 days, i was under the impression it was 90. that is most stores. i bought a jacket in august for fall, didn't get to try it on and when i did it was just to boxy and looked not good on me. went to return in October and i missed the 60 days by 5 days! wow! not even store credit. just annoying. no wonder they are going out of business

I pretty much avoid the mall shopping. I prefer to shop online, but I had reason to be at the Alderwood Mall today. I entered through JC Penney. I found something I wanted to purchase but I struggled to find a place to pay. It was unclear where the pay counters were located in the store - no signage to assist that I could see. I finally found one and it only had one cashier.I pulled up my JC Penney app to show my rewards barcode and the cashier asked "what is that for?" I explained it was for JC Penney rewards. "I don't have a device that can read that" I asked then why does the app have a barcode? "I don't know" My experience definitely didn't increase by desire to come back.

I tried placing an order on JCPenney.com, as a guest and also by logging into my account. Neither method worked. The [Review Order] button became active, but nothing happened by clicking on it.Called their customer service and he tried to take my order over the phone, which I did not want to do Eventually, he told me that they are aware of the problem! This is a major issue and I can't believe they have not fixed it right away! Very unprofessional IT.

First time visiting JC penny in Lynwood. Looking for gifts for children. Black Friday sales were really good. Made shopping much more affordable. Got some great deals on children clothes and long sleeve blouses for me! Despite so many shoppers looking for sales, all of the personnel I encountered were oh so polite, and efficient. I guess because most companies are having difficulties getting workers, there appeared to be only one checkout station on the street level floor with only two employees.

Ridiculous!!!!!!! One fitting room open. One checkout station open with at least 15 people in line with two cash registers open. Back and forth, back and forth. They are on total opposite sides of the store. I get that it's hard to hire people, but for a Saturday, they should be able to do better!!! Won't be going back to that store in the near future.

I haven't shopped at JCPenney in a long time. Tonight I walked through and discovered tons of style, choices and great savings! The retail clerk, Madeline, was very friendly, professional and helpful I was quite pleasantly surprised. Thus level of service .is typical if high end f retailers such as Nordstrom or Dillards. I spent lots of time, opened a rewards account and as I drive away I called my friends and shared what a GEM JCP has become and how the staff was top notch, just ask for Madeline!

Went to JC Penney for a sports coat, found one on sale, sign said $99.99 when I went to check out the price somehow jumped to $149. I went back took a photo of sign but didn't make a difference to the employees, they just said must have been on wrong rack, even though the jacket tag description of jacket was same as sign. Went online and that same jacket $99.95, I can see why JC penney most likely will go the way of Sears, piss poor customer service, they are either dishonest or stupid or both, can't say for sure either way they just lost another customer.

I have never been so frustrated in a store. I went to JC Penny to look at towels which are located on the second floor. It's not until you get up the escalator that you are informed that the down escalator is out. There are no directions to the elevator (the only inside option to get back down) but no need for that because the line of people waiting for the elevator is snaking through the isles! The only other option is to go outside, walk across the uncovered sky bridge in the 36 degree pouring rain to the parking garage, and either take the parking garage elevator or stairs to the ground level, then walk across the street, again in the 36 degree pouring rain, and enter JC Penny on the ground floor. WHAT!!!? There should be a sign next to the escalator on the 1st floor warning people about the fresh hell that they'll be walking into if they take that escalator to the second floor! Never again JC Penny! I'll never walk through your doors again.

Great deal on bath rug horrible customer service tonight, no cashiers available to pay whatsoever and customer service even refused to check me out. Loss prevention rude and disrespectful told me to hurry it up. What a evil witch when all I am trying to do is PAY and she wont even walk me over to a cashier completely rude to customer. I told her I parked in online pick up side and if she can leave until their closing time 7 pm for me and she said ok. Go there after FINALLY paying and 6:58 pm she locked it. Saw her leaving. Total tramp. I had walk alone as female from other side in dark completely drenched in rain. She should be fired. Hope a car runs over her

Purchased a $45 lab grade opal ring on sale and the main stone fell out 2 days later. The manager (Nidhi) refused to exhange because I did not buy their $25 "protection plan" at the time of sale. I had called 2x prior to coming in to exchange and was told they could exchange it, no problem, as long as it was within 30 days (which it was). Im extremely upset and will never purchase jewelry from JC Penny again, and im letting my family and friends know too. All of this over a $45 ring??? I left the broken ring at the counter I was so upset. DO NOT give them your business. They do not care about their customers. Only $$$$$
