We’ve been taking Tundra to Hippie Hounds since he was a puppy, over 4 years now. The team here are amazing. Everyone is very friendly and you can tell they take pride in their work and love what they do. Every cut is very consistent with the amount of staffing they have. Tundra is always excited to see the grooming team! We’re very lucky to live so close to a groomer that is the best. Thank you Hippie Hounds!

We absolutely love this place and have been taking both of our dogs here for a couple years now. They are always super friendly and accommodating. They've done a great job adhering to all COVID guidelines, are always wearing masks and trying to limit the number of people in the entrance lobby. One of our dogs gets a bit fussy when having her front feet touched and Aaron and crew always make sure to ask if I'm comfortable coming behind the counter and holding her. Can't imagine taking our dogs anywhere else!

Amanda, the owner, is unhinged. Her edited response to my original review contains multiple lies. She has no idea what she’s talking about in regards to my dog and me, or what took place that day. She has it out for me, pure and simple. Do not subject yourself to this woman’s insensitive, mean, disturbed energy. Why would you go to a place where the owner responds the way she did below? It’s not even worth correcting her lies. I deleted my original review because it’s just too tedious to counter and correct her made up claims and I want to move on. Chances are she will edit hers to respond to this. There are tons of inconsistencies in what she says, and what actually happened… It’s not worth it to explain it all. But I want people to know to stay away as she is flat out mean, dishonest, and incredibly spiteful. If you get on her bad side, look out. The customer is obviously always wrong. The second and last time we spoke on the phone she interrupted and refused to hear my concerns. I became impatient as she would not stop talking over me or hear me, and she finally reimbursed me. I wasn’t even rude. During our phone calls, she never once told me that she was present during the service! Why? I was never rude to any of the groomers. I was extremely polite. I was simply careful and looking out for my beloved pitbull mix, because he is reactive and it’s really hard to clip his nails, and it’s stressful to take him to the groomers. It’s a common issue among dog owners because it is typically a stressful experience for the dogs! I used to work as a dog washer at a groomers. I’ve seen it first hand. My dog was shaking the entire time... She knows nothing about us and our situation, and said delusional things. I was there, holding him during the service. I take amazing care of my dog. I do NOT neglect my dog. That is such a cruel attack. Good owners are careful and diligent. Again, read her words below. There is something seriously wrong with a business owner who behaves like that. Go elsewhere.
*The photos are of my dog’s nails after her husband Aaron clipped them with clippers poorly. My dog is very reactive to and fearful of noisy machines that move, causing it to be unsafe for himself and others if the electric filing tool is used. I have seen it multiple times. I wasn’t willing to take the risk. He has multiple leg surgeries and we have to be careful. I politely made this request in the moment looking out for everyone’s best interests. A groomer that doesn’t know how to use clippers is no place to give business. I didn’t notice the poor job until I got home. Multiple others with experience confirmed that more could have been clipped, and anyone can see it from the pictures. I’ve had his nails trimmed professionally multiple times before this and was very satisfied. (One of those times was at hippie hounds in Shoreline in 2021 where I was very happy with the service, so obviously they can do better!) THIS was not professional and was poorly done and Amanda refused to admit it.

I have a 70 lb Staffordshire Terrier who is a bit skittish about getting his nails trimmed.
I've had it done at a number of places, but nowhere else does it better than here. The staff are super supportive and reassuring, with one staff member holding him in a body hug (to keep him still, help him balance, and calm his nerves) while the other trims his nails.
They don't have a base price for clippers with an upcharge for using a grinder/Dremel; they just use the grider because it's safer. They also don't charge extra if additional staff are needed; they just assign the number of staff necessary.
This is a compelling example for why supporting a local business is better than going to a national chain.

We've been here a few times to use the self dog wash stations and we LOVE it. The stations are clean, there are plenty of great tools and products for all kinds of fur and the staff are excellent!

My friend recommended me to go to Hippies Hounds last night and I brought Gigi my German Shepherd mix to Hippies Hounds for nails cut today. i have never thought there is any place can do it for her, i couldn't breath when i was there, she was struggling, screaming and so aggressive... but they still handled her and did it. At Hippies Hounds people are really very very nice, skill and so awesome. i love this place and 100% sure i will come back soon.

So good. I cannot rave about this place enough. The dogs feel the vibes too. My pug is a bit reactive and he was calm the entire time he was here. Great staff.

Been using Hippie Hounds for over two years. I love them. They don't mind when my boyfriend has to bring the dogs to car separately because they are hyper. Like I said dogs are hyper and two of them and HH takes them in stride.

I overlooked how my snow-white retriever dived into a dirty, smelly pond on our walk in Pine Ridge Park. Hippie Hounds agreed to take my dog urgently, and 15 minutes later my pup was already in their salon. Two hours later, I picked up a snow-white fragrant cloud. HH helped me out a lot, as I didn't have time at all that day to wash her.

We’ve been taking our golden retriever to Hippie Hounds for grooming for almost 5 years. Everyone is so friendly and gentle. It’s the only place we’ve been able to get his nails trimmed at…other places give up after only a couple nails.

Everyone here is so kind. This is the only place that my dog allows to cut his nails and they do a great job at accommodating walk ins!
