I went in to get a haircut (6/25/24) and had a scheduled appointment with the owner to cut my hair. She already had another person waiting ahead of me when I got there, that she had wait until after me.
She told me I could come in with wet hair so I came in with clean hair, showed her a photo of the haircut I wanted, a very basic tapered/thinned bob, and we discussed the length…..
I showed her with my hand.
She confirmed with her hand.
We touched hands.
We used our horizontal hands, straight across my arm, maybe an inch-two below my armpit to express the length I wanted. We were VERY clear.
(My hair was originally long, below my belt).
As you can see in the photos….. She absolutely CHOPPED IT. It’s nowhere near my armpit. She had me look down for the first cut and when I looked up I said, “that’s really short!” And she looked at me shocked like, “huh?”
We had JUST talked about length, not even 5 minutes earlier.
She wasn’t even apologetic. In fact, I felt like I had to appease her instead.
She used zero basic skills that other stylists use… Sectioning, basic checking/measuring, precision cutting, did not appear to have any training whatsoever, didn’t use any product, didn’t dry my hair, didn’t fully brush it, didn’t style it.
The ends are incredibly uneven. I’m embarrassed to show it flat-ironed. Not trying to be disrespectful but it looks like a kid cut it. ??♀️
And I cannot even begin to express to you what she did with the thinning shears. HACKING. She hacked at my hair, so fast, in random sections, so close to my scalp. On and on and on. It actually scared the woman in the chair next to me. I asked her to thin my hair but that’s not how it’s done. They absolutely aren’t meant to be used that way, which actually makes the shape and body of your hair worse! ??♀️
Overall, I’m disappointed in her and myself for not stopping her. It just all happened so fast and I was shocked. Legitimately shocked.
She cut off 14-15 inches of my hair.
I will NEVER go back.
I will NEVER let a family member or friend go there.

I finally found a nail salon that is close to home and lovely. These 2 women know EVERY person that walks in by name. I find that remarkable. If I could take Cam home with me I would. I called her the doctor. She said many people call her that. I am entertained by them and grateful.

Nancy is the sweetheart bless her little heart!! I've been getting my hair cut from her since I was in high school so over 15+ yrs.. every cut is done perfect she is very meticulous and makes sure it perfect before leaving. I most def suggest everyone to get cuts from her and it's cheap. $15 for men's cut is bar none free compared to half ass salons out there..

Cam is the best, my toes are not the easiest to pedicure and she takes such good care.The salon is clean, lit and everyone so friendly.

I go in periodically for Cam to give a Manicure & Pedicure. She's a very sweet woman and the rate is low. However it's a very basic, and I prefer more exfoliation, moisturizing & massaging of my calves, feet & hands which I don't get here. Therefore FX isn't my favorite go to place for these services.The place is very clean. The towels are very clean but are old and should be updated. Some of the nail polish is also old and the color selection limited. I have had both natural nails and artificial nails done here in both cases I had an issue with 1 or 2 nails. I suggest you bring your own polish..Service: Manicure

Nancy is the BEST! She is fast and I always leave with a great haircut. Also the price is super reasonable. And somehow Nancy remembers EVERY SINGLE PERSON AND DETAIL shared with her. She still remembers my wedding anniversary that I shared with her ONCE five years ago. Incredible!

I have been looking at hairstyles for months since my previous longtime hairdresser left Great Clips. My hair felt like a mop and I remembered seeing a woman at LA Fitness with a great haircut about a year ago. I had a picture but not much hope. Well Nancy worked magic on my hair that looks better than I had even hoped. I am so grateful, not only to have a place even to go, but a super hairstyle
