These folks are a pawn shop so expect pawn shop service. If you are desperate in dire straights for money, this is your place. Otherwise, if you choose this establishment you are choosing a pawn shop with nice window dressing.

I recently visited this Lynwood location and had the pleasure or interacting with Maddie for a jewelry appraisal . She helped me go through some hand me down gold and diamonds to determine the trade in value on an engagement Ring. I really appreciated her help in sorting through the jewelry that had value vs stuff that was not desired. In the end they are offering a wholesale price which I understand as they are a business that needs to mark up in order to resale so I had to take some time after the appraisal to make a decision on what to do. Maddie didn't pressure me to jump into anything and I really appreciated that as the jewelry had sentimental value and I didn't know what I was doing. One way or another I will be working with them in the near future but appreciated that during the interaction Maddie was not pushy or trying to take advantage of an uneducated customer. She earned my trust for future deal. Thanks again!

Working with Maddie Thomas was a pleasure. She is knowledgable, courteous and professional. She put me at ease and completed our transaction in a timely manner. I believe I received fair value and was very satisfied. 5 stars.

Came in to have a ring looked at, they tried to tell me something I paid over 1k for was only worth $175? 14k gold, .5 carat diamond, with .25 carats x16.......give me a break. Won't go back despite the numerous good reviews.

We had a wonderful experience today at the Bellevue Rare Coins Lynnwood location. Angel was very patient and thorough in helping us sort and appraise an inherited coin collection. It was fun to learn a little about our grandfather’s hobby. Thank you!

I've been coming here off and on for quite some time, mainly to buy. The vast majority of the time they will simply have the best prices locally, and a lot of the time the best prices online as well. I shop a lot for certain metals and their prices simply can't be beaten...most of the time. It's a pretty great shop for buying and having good supply readily available. This comes with a huge caveat......and that is that I would never sell anything here. I've brought stuff in over time just to really gauge what they offer, and it is in my experience the lowest possible amount for your metals/jewelry/etc that you can get in the area. They simply don't buy at a good price in my personal experience and I have heard others say the same. I can't say for certain but it's almost like they've been trained to give the least amount possible and really work you into accepting the low amount, akin to a car salesman. The number one negative thing you will hear about BRC is the attitude towards the customer, and that shows when trying to sell them things. If that doesn't bother you, then great. They have cash on hand to buy stuff so you should be fine in that case. For me personally, I want to maximize what I get and not feel like I'm being ripped off so I sell elsewhere. As mentioned above, they could reallllllly use some customer service training. There are a few employees that bounce around different locations and sometimes those that stick in one spot that are GREAT to work with...but they are in the minority. Many of the people who work in these stores will rush you, almost as if to get you to spend money as fast as possible and get out of there. I've seen some employees roll their eyes and let out heavy sighs whenever someone asks more than a couple questions about a potential purchase. They also sometimes have sort of a belittling attitude towards clients that may very well know certain products better than they do. It is very off putting and word has gotten around.Another odd thing that may alienate some of their clients is that they no longer accept DEBIT payments. I was informed of this recently and I have to say it is a very odd choice. I was told my two different people in two different locations that they no longer accept debit because "the card charges were too high" so now they only accept cash and credit(which has a % charge to use.) Confused, I called a few other shops in the area and they confirmed that they are not charged for people using their debit cards whatsoever, only credit cards. Checked with some other sources from larger suppliers and they too had no idea what I was talking about. Not sure what this place's deal is, but I can no longer buy here half the time as I am not going to buy things with an additional credit charge and I can't just go get lump sums of cash when I want to make a purchase each time. I'm kind of hoping the two people I spoke with are mistaken, but I haven't been back to any of the locations since to check.Overall, it isn't a terrible place to shop if all you need to do is buy(assuming you have cash.) For me, I will continue to sell elsewhere close by with those that offer far better deals for my purchasing my product. Hopefully Bellevue Rare Coins continues to accept debit card payments so I can happily return to continue to make purchases. I want every shop to succeed so more people can enjoy coin collecting, metal stacking, jewelry buying, etc. But this chain needs a serious overhaul of customer service and certain policies in my opinion.

I highly recommend the expertise and professionalism of Maddie at Bellevue Rare Coins. Our session with her was informative and fun. I believe the prices given were fair too. They also have a diverse inventory for collectors.

This place is a complete rip off. I broughtsome 18 carat gold there to geta appraisal and the lady whom was servicing me tried to lie to me and tell me my gold was 14k when in-fact it was 18k. She then proceeded to offer me $300 for everything i had. I turned her offer down immediately knowing better. Little did she know i have my own gold test kit and all the industrys tools they use to test and make positive your product is gold so i knew right from the jump when she tried to shave off my 18k gold as of it was 14k. Anyways i took what i had back from her and proceeded to call my associate whom buys my gold from me whenever i have it and he paid me $540 for what she was gonna try to pay me $300 for. Thats so wrong and greedy. Never again and i do not recommend selling anything to this store they will rip you off!

I decided to try selling my 1 oz. American Gold Eagle Proof coin to this dealer after having a very bad experience selling to APMEX. I walked in with no appointment and they got with me within 5 minutes. They were courteous, professional, and efficient. They made me a good offer and I walked out with a check within 15 minutes. It was actually a fun transaction because the representative I talked to had all kinds of useful information and experiences that she shared with me. I highly recommend this company and I would have no qualms about either purchasing from them or selling to them. They are trustworthy.

Went to this location yesterday for my first time selling any precious metals, coins, or jewelry. Everyone there was really friendly and professional and the store was super clean and well organized. I had a good experience and I felt like I got a fair price for my stuff. Angel was fun to talk to and she made my quote and transaction easy and comfortable . I would definitely come back here in the future.

BRC was recommended to me by a very reputable and long standard jewelry shop in Seattle. Despite their name, I was glad to learn they have several locations making it convenient no matter where you are located in the Puget Sound.During the process of valuing several pieces of gold jewelry, I felt very comfortable that I was being given fair valuation. And The entire process was efficient. One piece has sentimental value, so I wasn’t ready to sell it, and the person who helped me encouraged me write down the gold value that day as well as the weight of my item do that when I was ready to sell it I’d easily be able to understand the value at any time.Very pleased with this experience!

I had never gone to a jewelry shop to sell gold, but I didn't want to deal with a pawn shop, as my jewelry was older, and I feel, better quality. So, I chose to travel to Lynnwood, WA and see what Bellevue Coins and Jewelry would offer me.I must say that I felt very comfortable with Angel, the woman who helped me. She explained a lot to me, and was very easy to speak with. If I find anything else of "value", I would make the trip here again.

On three separate occasions I've gone to Bellevue rare coins to either sell or buy coins. The last time I went there the customer service professional was not professional. I had some of my coins graded and when I got them back I brought them into Bellevue Rare coins and they offered me not even a fraction of what they were worth. I went down the road and sold them for what they were worth to a reputable coin store. Also the guy was very unprofessional very rude and treated me and my wife terribly. He ignored my wife and was probably the worst customer service representative I've ever dealt with. And that was only on one occasion this happens every time I've gone in there. I will not go to that store ever again and I suggest that you go find somewhere else to go to because they are awful. Do your homework before you go in there because they will rip you off every chance they get.
