Our beef stew made with Oostema‘s Wagyu stew meat was superb. The Oostema‘s Wagyu stew meat pieces are perfectly portioned and the meat is so tender. The stew was delicious.

My wife and I have been getting eggs from the Oostema farm for just over a year now. It’s very interesting to watch the variation (size, colors) of the eggs throughout the seasons of the year. We always feel like we got more than our money’s worth when we get a double yolk egg, which is about once or twice per dozen!We recently purchased 24 lbs of Wagyu ground beef, and we are never going back to the grocery store or other farms for “regular” ground beef. We recently had a family dinner, and we made burgers. We have 4 married daughters. All four sons-in-law are big eaters. Well, the burgers were a huge hit. We actually ran out of food for once. It was such a taste success that my wife sent a pound or two home with each family (which I was honestly kinda sad to do but.. hey it’s family).Both Glen & Lisa are so passionate about what they’re doing on their farm. They are so kind and so willing and available to talk about what they’re doing there. They really care about their community, their customers, how they raise their animals and the product they present for the public. I encourage the whole town of Lynden and Whatcom county to visit the Oostemas and get some of their meat and eggs down your neck.Thank you Glen & Lisa for what you’re doing!

Oostema Farmstead serves up the absolute best Wagyu beef in my book. I had the chance to visit their farm, and during a chat with the owners, I got to see firsthand just how passionate they are about the beef they raise. I can't think of any other Wagyu farmers who've put in as much effort to research and develop a herd with this kind of pedigree and quality.Their steaks, let me tell you, aren't just about the marbling – they've got a refined flavor and an unbeatable tenderness that sets them apart from the rest.Oostema Farmstead has undoubtedly set a high bar for what Wagyu beef should be.

You've got to swing by Oostema's, it's a fantastic spot. The farm is so cozy, and the Oostema family is just super nice and helpful. Their Wagyu beef? Well, let me tell you, it's out of this world! We picked up one of their Wagyu steaks, and it was mouthwateringly good.And if you're into breakfast, they've got you covered with fresh eggs, sausage, and bacon. It's a sure bet with the Oostema's. This couple is just lovely, and shopping with them is a real treat.

We got to taste some fantastic Wagyu beef from Oostema Farmstead. We also picked up some eggs, bacon, and cheese. The real star of our shopping was definitely the Wagyu beef, especially the tenderloins. We cooked them just right, not too rare, not too well-done, and they turned out perfect. They were super tender and had a rich, buttery flavor that impressed us a lot.We also grabbed some eggs and bacon, and they made for a tasty breakfast. The bacon was crispy and delicious, and the eggs were just what we needed.We're definitely coming back for more bacon! If you're a fan of great meat, this shop is a must-visit.

Update: Oostema Farm was quick to reply once they new I had an issue. I was fully refunded. Overall I am happy with the outcome of this problem.Orig. post:I ordered spice on the website on 9/11/23. I never received my order. I checked my emails, had nothing but an order confirmation. I emailed Oostema Farm Shop, received a quick response and was told my order is ready for pick up. I live in Texas not Washington. The website doesn't say pick up only. It allows you to order as normal. After an email thread requesting more money, I asked for a full refund because of my lack of trust in the ordering and shipping department of the company. The response I received from the owner was unprofessional, sarcastic and rude. See below. My advice is to only buy in person when you can pick up and not order for shipping.Thank you, Miranda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I want to give a big shoutout for your kind words about our "ordering department." It cracked me up because guess what? It's just me here, running this family-owned business, and shipping? Nope, not in our wheelhouse. The steaks were absolutely incredible. We kicked off with Wagyu/Black Angus Ribeyes, and we indulged in the Wagyu Ribeye too. The former left us deeply impressed, and the latter truly exceeded our expectations. We have two Wagyu tenderloins stored in the freezer, and I'm eagerly anticipating savoring those.The steaks are expertly prepared, displaying exquisite marbling with an ideal fat-to-meat ratio, resulting in an explosion of flavors.Lisa, who owns the place, is one of the most delightful individuals you'll ever encounter.Choose freshness, support your local farms.

Lisa makes it look easy, from the communications regarding booking, driving there late at night, greeting me, parking and plug in for my travel trailer, introducing me to the cows, using the Wi-Fi, explaining the farmstead operations, helping me select the right cuts of meat and providing info on the border crossing, Lisa does it all in a jovial nature and with a genuine smile.With a Wagyu starter package in hand and cooking instructions from Lisa, I made a delish, tender, juicy and oh so yummmmy sirloin steak.Friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable describes my experience at Oostema.With Gratitude for your Awesomeness!Lauren

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the farm. The stay was serene and allowed us to kick back and enjoy the cows in the pasture and a wonderful walk in the raspberry fields. The store was stocked up with amazing items including some locally made wooden charcuterie boards, cutting boards and even jewelry and hoodies. We scooped up a hoodie and some lovely beef steaks and had no trouble bringing them back into Canada. Thank you Lisa for being a lovely host and we will be back :-) Thanks again!!

Loved this place. We ordered the waghu hamburger ahead of time so we could eat it that night and bought a beautiful steak and stir fry meat as a birthday gift for my sister. She loves it too. Thank you, we’ll be back.
