Extremely old school philosophy and views on family. Some individual members seem to want what's best for children and families but that does't change the overall company's foundation for profit. We worked with them for over a year and when we decided we may want to look into domestic foster care, they sent our removal letter overseas before they decided to tell us we would not receive any funds returned. This wouldn't have stopped us from changing our path, but the method in which they conducted themselves at the end in order to ensure they got maximum profits out of our change of heart is an excellent example of how they run the entire show. Those with good hearts trying to do the right thing, be warned, do research into international adoption as a whole and best of luck finding a good company, just don't choose this one.

Zero stars can't go low enough. The bar was so low it was a tripping hazard in hell, yet here CHI is, limbo dancing with the devil. Old school, uneducated, sleazy, and a disgrace as far as the international adoption community goes. If you value your time, money, or the lives of the children they claim to help, adopt elsewhere.

Such a terrible organization that I'm actually giving ratings on both of my accounts so everyone knows STAY AWAY. It will be right for some, but for those that actually care about kids, this is not the right organization for you.

The absolute most caring, honest intentional adoption agency ever!! Highly recommend and would give 100 stars if I could. Over the span of each our adoptions, we’ve worked with 4 agencies, this by far has been our favorite!! Being fromArizona, my only complaint is that we didn’t find them sooner.First and foremost, they care about the children in need of families, secondly, they love-on and support their families. which is exactly how it should be; their priorities ought to be in that exact order; kids first, families second. .—- They’ve never asked for a review, so this is 100% my honest opinion—- .You won’t find a more ethical agency, HONEST and honorable agency with the best intentions and priorities. An agency whose goal is 100% the children in need of permanency. .At the same time, if you’re a family looking for the perfect agency, they are absolutely amazing! They’re completely honest especially with the potential challenges of balancing the expectation of the families who are wanting to provide a safe and loving home for children, along with all the global concerns that may cause your family to pause with a particular country program.Trust me, I’ve signed up with an agency before because they’ve offered “promising timelines”. You won’t get that here. They’re absolutely 100% honest…and that may sting at times, but who could ask for anything else?We had entered into the china program during an incredibly challenging time, yet this agency has remained grounded and beyond understanding! Even if we never get our girl home, which is absolutely heartbreaking and outside of anyone’s control, I must say this agency has been beyond supportive and they alone have restored my absolute faith in international adoption during a pandemic.It’s funny, in the adoption world, we parents cringe when people say things like "oh, your kid is so lucky to be in your home”. We always correct such people "we as their parents are indeed the lucky ones."all that to say, if you end up with CHI, I am beyond confident, you are the blessed one!.Lastly, I’ve worked with Tricia and Stefani during our process, but I imagine they’re all just as wonderful!!!

We adopted our daughter from Colombia in March 2020, and couldn't be happier or more grateful for everything CHI has done for our family. Carmina was always polite, professional and straightforward. Our communications throughout the process were complete, easy to understand, and always timely. The support we received while in Colombia was equally phenomenal! CHI has an excellent in-country team who has thought through every single minute detail. You can rest at ease knowing everything is being taken care of so that you can concentrate all of your focus on bonding with your new son/daughter. We hope to adopt again one day, and will only use CHI as our agency. They are incredible!

Tried using this agency but staff were very unfriendly and not concerned for my needs. Person in charge of Eastern Europe adoption was ill informed and gave different answers all the time. Tried requesting to talk to a supervisor but never bothered to call back. Very disappointed!

I have adopted six times, and worked with 3 agencies....CHI was by far the best. They are professional, kind, and are great at what they do. CHI has excellent relationships with the countries they work with, and we were so happy with our experience with them. I would highly recommend them.
