This was the perfect place for a group rental. We rented all 10 rooms so we had the Hotel all to ourselves. The place is gorgeous and special. Renovated rooms are well equipped and comfortable. So many great spaces for family to visit. The manager was responsive and easy to work with. The only downside to our visit was I wish we had stayed longer!

Staying now in Lyle Hotel! They are very welcoming. They even allowed us to check in earlier. The rooms are gorgeous and the hotel is historical from 1905. The bathrooms are clean and huge! This hotel is very clean and tidy. Will update my review tom for breakfast. ?

Very cool, historic hotel. It just had an amazing renovation. We had a beautiful, clean room. We will be staying again.Noteworthy details: Very cute and very clean.

All of the essentials! Very cozy and has everything you need for a quick stay.Trains might wake you in the middle of the night, as most old buildings aren't soundproof.Overall a great little overnight stop in between places!

We didn't actually stay here, but we still got charged for 1 night. I called well in advance to cancel our reservation, which they confirmed. After seeing the charge on our credit card, I called the hotel to ask that it be removed. They said there were two reservations for the same dates, and only one was cancelled. I certainly didn't intentionally make two reservations, and the person I talked to when cancelling never mentioned the second reservation. Very poor customer service and quite unforgiving. Watch out if you make a reservation here!

We booked this place based of convenience during our road trip and the reviews here. The place is a dump. Stains on the carpet, blood platters on one of our pillows, shared bathrooms. It was like a hostel. We decided to leave a day early and asked for a refund due to the state of the place. Did not receive and refund or even a reply.

Reserved 1 night(May 14,22), was charged for 2. Staff (Merika) said she was refunding the money for the extra night. I even received an email from her. Never have received the refund, she has stopped responding to me. I am very disappointed , had wanted to stay there again. The outside of hotel is historically very cute. Rooms are pretty clean but in need of repairs. Shared bathrooms are very clean and their are many.

We stayed here a couple weeks ago and were charged for 2 nights instead of the one we actually booked. There is no staff at this hotel, their number is not in service, and the one staff person running the place (Merika) is refusing to respond to texts after promising a refund. Seems like most of the good reviews were from a year or more ago before ownership changed.

Hard to get in contact with. We arrived on location and the hotel was locked, no one at the front desk, and the phone number on google was disconnected. The link on the email dialed a disconnected number as well. Had to hard code type in the phone number. Poor communication. I believe it’s new ownership in the last 6 months and still working logistics

My stay at the Lyle wasn't planned. I had an unexpected delay flying out of DC to Phoenix, and need a place to rest and refresh for the night. After searching Hopper for about 20 minutes, I chose the Lyle because I love boutique properties and it looked really charming in the photos.My check-in went smoothly and Johnny Pelzer extended the warmest welcome. I've worked as a hotel manager and chef for 15+ years and I can say with certainty that hospitality is not simply a checklist of tasks to ensure someone's comfort or to make them feel welcome--hospitality is a behavior, core belief, and attitude. Hotels and restaurants tend to prioritize commerce and often hospitality gets lost. The Lyle gave me everything in way of "technically": great hospitality--even more I was offered an attitude of hospitality. I hope to return to stay for much longer than a single night soon.On a separate the hotel restaurant was fantastic! The service was attentive without being overbearing, the soundtrack was perfectly curated--and as a restaurant chef I loved every dish, they were executed flawlessly. The old fashion using Four Roses was a perfect partner to the short ribs.

The rooms were okay, and it was quite. No amenities to speak of. There is a common refrigerator (sort of) a few food items to scrounge for breakfast. I totally understand the whole COVID thing, but there is NO hosting at this hotel. Internet is,so-so.

The host was super friendly via text and the stay is unique since this hotel is historic including a shared bathroom, not something you come across very often.However, if you’re looking for a restful night of sleep you won’t find that in room #4. The train is right outside the window and runs four to five times at night. The AC unit is also far from white noise.As far as cleanliness, left more to be desired. From cobwebs on the walls and ceiling to at least one spider to a stained comforter with another person’s hair on it. Also a random black garbage bag in the closet. Creepy.The bath towel also had stains on it. The shared bathroom you’d hope would be spotless as it’s already an unusual concept but the shower curtain also was stained.Won’t be back and will not recommend. The negatives outweigh the positives.
