My wife and I were on the south end of Lopez for a month house/pet sitting. We came here several times. The wings and fries are super good. Really enjoyed the friendly staff. The restaurant has daily home made desserts that are tasty. They serve a few beers and cocktails as well. The grocery store is a bit pricey but if you need it, you need it.

Very good, small restaurant. Store is well stocked. Close to Deception Pass and protected anchorage if you are on a boat.

My partner and I were staying on Lopez for 2 days and we came to Southend A LOT. Super friendly people working here, and tons of local product options. We had the best ready made sandwiches ever here. A must for a beach picnic.The Cafe also blew us away! Our server was wonderful and attentive despite being the only one working, and the food was delicious. Get. The. Fries. Also, only one person working the kitchen and the food came out quick and incredible!

Small store on Lopez Island with a cafe. I enjoyed delicious fish and coleslaw since they had sold out the chips. Also, good calm chowder. Very nice folks and a place clearly popular with the locals.Four stars only for the store's limited selection.

I don't know what 5 stars means. But I do know I like this place. It's not that big, but has stuff I like, the brands are quality. It has KILLER sandwiches. It's worth stopping by and checking it out, and do get a sandwich. They sell out sometimes before closing time.

I'm so happy that this business is on the south end. Their store offers great selection and convenience and the restaurant just adds another level of awesomeness. The fish and chips are great, beer is served in frosty glasses, and the service is wonderful.

A tale of two experiences at Southend. The grocery/market side of the business is great. Good selection of the staples, local beer options, wine, snacks, even Humm kombucha on tap. Prices are reasonable for a small market, lower than I expected and lower than some of the comparable stores in other areas of the islands.Unfortunately the cafe part is greatly lacking. The food definitely did not meet expectations. The smash burger was very basic, low on flavor, very little toppings, on a 25 cent Costco-style bun, with what tasted like freezer-bag tater tots on the side, for $22. The jalapeño poppers also tasted like they were from a bag, at over $1 apiece. The quality and taste was comparable to what I typically get at old-style drive-ins, but for 2-3x the cost. Definitely disappointing and far overpriced, as it was over $30 before tip just for these basic items.The food also took far longer than it should have... about 35 minutes, even though there were only a few people at 3 tables when I ordered. The whole operation seemed disorganized, from the man who took my order to the cooks in the back.There is so much potential here, and great ideas, but horrible execution. I would be up for trying it again someday to see if things improve, but for now, cannot recommend it to others.My 3 star rating is based on a 4-4.5 for the store and a 1.5 for the cafe.

Was hopping for a better selection on jewelry but the post cards were beautiful. Chai latte was not great tbh tasted like milk with a pinch of pepper in it. Good customer service!!
