Well lit, well stocked. When items are featured in the food ads you can expect a good price. Overall, the prices are fair but slightly higher than WinCo or Walmart for most (but not all) items. Store people are personable and knowledgeable always willing to help you out with the groceries. New shopping/trolley carts have both phone and cup holders... And it could be me, but the child seat seems higher. The store is set up like fort Knox, barriers to get in -- or out of the store. It is the first store with this sort of barricade in the area. Sadly, shoplifting seems to be a new sport here in the United States... For instance, None of the local Walmarts have this setup but it's normal for them in the bigger cities -- using your receipt as a way to exit.

Only giving a 2 because the lady checking me out today at around 9am 6/2/24 was so wonderful and kind. After checking my receipt her name was Tina and she was amazing I just moved into town and have had the pleasure of being helped by her twice this week and she was been nothing but amazing and kind. So props to Tina <3<3 My issue however, is with the two ladies working in the starbucks one was middle age (possibly supervisor idk) one looked younger possible early 20s with glasses. But I have been a barista and customer service representative for years and in no circumstance have I ever just let a customer walk up on me and not greet them whatsoever and just stare at them until they give their order. I am kind and a customer service employee myself so i’m trying to so i’m saying hello how are you trying to be nice and they both just stare at me so rude so they’re either judgmental of tattoos (which is odd) or they’re just need more training but no way should my mood for the day be brought down because I feel like i’m interrupting someone and inconveniencing them for not even a drink but just a pastry case item. As a previous starbucks employee (not a safeway employee) that is definitely not people they want representing their company and I’d assume safeway would think the same if they ever came in unknown as a customer and felt how I and I assume many others have felt at this location. I’m sure there is a lot of people that would want to work that job that wouldn’t treat customers like this, it surely can’t be that slim of pickings. :( but again my checkout lady was incredible

Everywhere else in this town excepts the paper copy Drivers license for alcohol purchases but this one they told me I couldn’t buy it with my paper copy when other Safeway accept it

I had to use the bathroom and looked everywhere for an associate to give me the # by the time I found someone I almost peed myself. I understand the use for the code locks on the door but can't you have a button to push by the door like at the liquor isle?
And don't get me started on club cards, digital bar codes and stuff. Thank you for letting me get that of my chest lol

All I can say is WOW. I stopped at this store to use the restroom. Safeway has always been known as a welcoming store. However, this store looks like a prison! There is one way in and one way out and the employees will yell at you like prison guards for trying to exit from anywhere but self checkout. AVOID this store... the one in Kelso is much better and safer!
