βWhen I need gas, this is where I go. With Fred Meyers reward system, I almost never pay full price for gas. However, even when I do pay full price, they consistently have a lower price opposed to competing Fuel Stations.β
βIt's like I've stumbled onto a hidden gem.
I initially went here because they were the 2nd convince store in town to have a cherry ICEE machine but after seeing a guy order a quart of vanilla soft serve. I had to try it.
Their soft serve is amazing! They have different sizes and also different flavors seperately infused. (Classic vanilla quart is best in my opinion) Bought myself a pack of rootbeer and had a quart of soft serve, which I put in my freezer, and that nights dessert brought back good memories for the family!β
βLots of parking. Attendants keep karts put away and dry. Friendly and helpf cashiers. Clean bathrooms. A bit crowded around the cashiers around the fresh bread sections.β
βThey have an actual selection of glass paraphernalia!They carry the usual drinks/snacks you'd probably expect from any other hole in the wall gas station/food mart.β

βBest store in the Highlands neighborhood. Have been coming here since I was a teenager and have seen the store improve a lot over time.
It's been ran by the same 4 people for as long as I can remember, and they all work really hard to keep the store clean and organized.β
βGreat place to save on fuel. I used my rewards and saved $6.50 when I filled up. When grocery shopping, many products offer 3X extra fuel points on your next gas purchase.β
βAlways loved Safeway... BUT INFLATION is killing us with these prices. Prices are still rising but if you look for the deals and use their app, you will save some $$$$$$.β
βThis small gas station/convenience store rules. People are great prices are a little higher than normal but that's expected. Sometimes I just need a bag of chips and a soda and I don't want to drive all the way to the market. My roommate LOVES their food. To me it's just gas station food. Overall 10/10 would go there again.β
βI only shop at the Ocean Beach Safeway. They have the best service. One particular person is especially helpful and kind. I think he may be a new hire. His name is Aidan. Please pass this in to him and his manager. Thanks, Dana Leafβ
βToday 08/17/25 on a Sunday I had gotten a screw stuck in my tire and it went flat. I had just picked up my son, and was in a frenzy as no tire shops are open. Thos was the only place open, we took the tire in to their shop and they were very quick and thorough and really reasonably priced.
I really appreciate their service, I will continue to go there from now on and support their business for sure!. They saved the day!. Thank you.β
βStore has everything you could ever need, food is good, best jo jos, good fried chicken. Deli items are also good though a little pricey for the portions. Been going here all my life. Propane refills and hunting/fishing license.β

βWell lit, well stocked. When items are featured in the food ads you can expect a good price. Overall, the prices are fair but slightly higher than WinCo or Walmart for most (but not all) items. Store people are personable and knowledgeable always willing to help you out with the groceries. New shopping/trolley carts have both phone and cup holders... And it could be me, but the child seat seems higher. The store is set up like fort Knox, barriers to get in -- or out of the store. It is the first store with this sort of barricade in the area. Sadly, shoplifting seems to be a new sport here in the United States... For instance, None of the local Walmarts have this setup but it's normal for them in the bigger cities -- using your receipt as a way to exit.β
βHolts market is good store. Clerks are friendly and fast but the neighborhood is rough so don't leave the car running and lock your doors just in case. Seriously! Lol There's a variety of merchandise available so I don't think I'd send a kid in alone either.β
βThe energy drink selection is really good. The on the job clerk was kind and helped my ailing grandmother carry out her little sack of goods when she visited the store. Iβd go back for taco Tuesday.β

βGood fish & chips! Eat there if you desire. Employee's are nice. Great variety of merchandise. Even have a milkshake machine! Good fudge with a lot of variety of flavors.β
βAmazing worker/human being. I lost my wallet and was out of gas but the cashier lady didn't know that and my Samsung pay was not working and she paid my 20 $ for gas not knowing me. and dressed like I just woke up lol. I did go back and pay her back. Amazing worker/human didn't catch her name but I know she get off work at 2β
βI don't usually have my prescriptions filled at Walmart, but we were in a time crunch and Walmart was the only pharmacy open after 6:00 p.m. on this particular day. The prescription was called in by the medical provider, and the folks at Walmart had it ready within 30 minutes. I was amazed!! Keep up the good work!!β
βThe owner, and employees know me by name. I live down the road from the store. I enjoy going there, and always feel welcome, and valued. The employees/owners are super friendly. They have redone the inside of the store, and it looks nice. They have nice specials, and gas is very competitive. I usually get my gas there, also. 5 starsβ

βEver was an awesome Checker. Polite and friendly. Went beyond expectations by checking that the eggs werenβt cracked and found that one carton had a broken egg. Nice customer serviceβ

βI had a bad panic attack walking into the store. The pharmacist that helped me was so sweet and helped me get my meds right away. I don't remember her name, but I will always remember her persistence with my meds.β
βThe store's staff are all pretty friendly. It's conveniently placed next to a laundromat and a Thai food restaurant. The only downside is that the prices are a bit high.β
βReally love that they have FSA eligible products labeled, it has been extremely helpful. The employees are helpful whenever I need assistance. The only thing I dislike about this store is the new carts, my kid is in the way when she's in the cart so it's hard to see right in front and it seems like one cart maybe is malfunctioning and locking up right as you get out the first set of doors. Happened to me then a guy the next day I went shopping for Christmas gifts. Still a great store.β

βThe gentleman who works in the morning is amazing, very polite, considerate and helpful. I was being harassed by what I only assume were drug addicts, and he stepped in to get them to leave me alone. Very hard worker, and a gentleman.β

βI get alot of Keto items here. Prices are so much lower than anywhere else in the area. There are only a few items in the store overall that you can count on being there, as the items are there for various reasons, not sold, damaged packaging, etc. I have bought items that where old, so be careful of that. Good deals. For instance they have two steaks for 8.99.β
