We have had Ferrellgas for over 2 years now and the customer service has been up to par thus far. However, we put in for a refill on a Monday with knowing they deliver on Thursdays, and unfortunately we had only 15lbs on Monday (due mostly to the recent severe weather the west coast has been experiencing over the last couple weeks). After seeing the Ferrellgas truck TODAY drive through and deliver to our neighbors (140ft away), they did not service our tank. I called and talked to numerous people and the gal in the office was less then helpful and then when the "manager" Tyler talked to me, he was just as unhelpful and semi-rude. Their reply was, well that's too bad and you should plan ahead as the gal at the office said. This is a small community with very limited income, and unfortunately I feel that the customer service at Ferrellgas (Long Beach) does not care about the community and the residents that reside there. I just want to understand why they don't take responsibility for their dispatch and the lousy job they did. If you are creating a delivery schedule and you see one come in at 15lbs, wouldn't you think to put that on the delivery when at the same address? We got the distinct impression that Ferrellgas is either too large or doesn't need our business any more. They have no issues charging ahead of time (payment in full before delivery) and from our understanding today, that they would rather take a no interest loan from us and not provide service or product for up to 2 weeks. Had Ferrellgas dispatchers looked forward and used some common sense, Ferrellgas could have serviced more customers for less money thus raising their bottom line and possibly being able to lower prices based on efficiency instead of outright theft from our view by their policies and costs of expedited services when needed.Their position was oh well pay us an additional $215.00 and we will drive back out there and fill your tank. If this is Ferrellgasses position, not only is it a terrible business model but it doesn't serve a small community well.We do appreciate the service from the past that was performed, but todays interaction and service costs associated with it completely ruined a relationship between us as a client and you as our vendor. We believe that we at least have to bring this to upper management's attention due to the fact that maybe you don't know what's going on in your company. Had that happened by people in my company I would have reprimanded them very sharply, and more then likely terminated them all today. No business can strive to build a strong customer base only to have the actions of a few ruin relationships thus costing the company not only further repeat customers but lost revenues from future customers as word gets spread around about how they handled this situation.

We forget to check the gauge, snowstorm in the wings, and our tank was only 5% full!

If you're looking for friendly customer service then you may be disappointed here. There are several other suppliers of propane in the area. If you like employees with a sour attitude then this is the place.

I don't know how often you check but every time I've thought we were getting low on gas and considered ordering, the truck arrived before I got to it. Thanks for the service.
