Ptera came to us YEARS ago asking if we would be a sub station for them, we agreed with the agreement there would be NO nails, screws etc used on our roof, they did use screws, didn’t even bother to silicone them, and now we have a leak in our roof that four different roofing company’s stated it’s from their equipment. They also did not put the second of their equipment on a pole an attach to the facia which their required to do. I called several years ago asking them to get their equipment off my roof and they argued and refused to do it. I called them yesterday to address the roof, was refused to be allowed to speak to owner, or manager, during that call I was told their no longer using this as a “pop” station and haven’t been for quite awhile, I find it ironic that I had requested years ago they remove their equipment, they refused and now find out it’s not even being used so good business would have been to call me an inform me of that and then remove their equipment. The guy I spoke with was extremely rude, said they would come remove their equipment and repair the roof. I said “no it will be repaired from a licensed/bonded roofer verses an Internet company that clearly will just fill in the holes THEY put there. We will be meeting with our attorney Monday to address this issue as their refusing to have the repairs be fixed by a licensed roofer. So as an FYI be very cautious if you allow them to put their equipment on your roof. They even put ice/water down however just laid it on top verses putting it under where it belongs, now it’s all cracked, leaking through, just a mess. They also just placed a bunch of cinder blocks all over making an eyesore, just be careful allowing them to place their equipment on your roof.

It WAS 5 star internet when we first had it set up. Never had an outage (outside weather or transformers blowing) and paid $50 a month for great speeds.THEN they switched to a new provider. We now lay $65 a month, and we've had far more random outages, and at least one every week this month so far.When it does work, its great. But after they switched, it went downhill for more money.

The customer service from this company has blown me away! They worked around my school schedule for installation. Travis was so helpful and kind when he came out and installed the WiFi. Definitely would recommend over and over to anyone. Thank you so very much!

We are a small business in downtown Cheney and we have had a great experience with Ptera. We have a local technician, Travis, who is actually available, and does his best to check on our accounts, and come in person as needed if we have issues. I have also had to call before to help walk me through resetting the system when it was down, and the individual who helped over the phone was helpful and patient and got us up and running again.

Ptera was far easier to deal with than one of the giant national ISPs. It was easy to get my account started, easy to make payments, installation and equipment rental went smoothly, and when I was leaving the area they helped me return my modem and router very conveniently. Travis helped me out a lot. He was very friendly and professional.

Extremely happy with the WiFi and the customer service. My fiance and I aren't super tech savvy, we were having trouble finding a cost effective option where we could have someone help us set it up. Travis in Cheney was able to explain the different plans over the phone and come get it hooked up all in the same day. Its cheaper than a good handful of services in my area that didnt have as good of connection and/or wait lists for service and hardware installs. We've been playing games on our Xbox, streaming shows and movies, etc with absolutely no issues and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Ptera and a special thanks to Travis for working with us and making sure everything was explained and done quickly, cheap, and reliable in a way that made sense. Highly recommend for all your internet needs!

We moved into a new house West of Cheney in August, 2023. The previous owner had Ptera infrastructure installed, so we decided to give their wireless internet service a try. Our rep informed us that we had the best available "commercial grade" wireless package.After a couple months, we have decided that the service is not worth the premium price that we have been paying. Inconsistent connection speeds (pixelated streaming, choppy video calls, etc.), service outages, high prices, and difficulty reaching tech support when reporting service issues are all leading us to look elsewhere for our Internet service. Overall, quite disappointed with the quality.

We moved to a rural area of Spokane in early September and have experienced multiple outages ranging from 30 minutes to over 24 hours. It is hard to get anyone on the phone and when I can finally get an actual person they don’t have details or an estimated restoration time. It is unfortunate they are the only providers in the area because they don’t seem to find a problem with the regular outages their customer’s experience. Not to mention we are paying quite a bit for internet we “sometimes” get to use! Starlink is expensive but it’s looking more appealing…

Constant outages. Took the leap based on one of theirs reps saying I wouldn't see anything like with Davis Communications: ptera has been exponentially worse and more frequent.I have edited my review to remove the first name of the rep, as I only mentioned the first name, who promised this and that with ptera, after they messaged me through Facebook throwing a hissy fit about my opinion and review.
