Overpayed and waited beyond the estimated 2 hours with 0 updates . 256$ for a Brake Flush and Oil change? I should’ve been paying max about 200$… but you know when you’re a woman and you go in by yourself you’re bound to be charged that woman tax.

We have taken over five different vehicles to this location for the last nine or 10 years and been satisfied with the work and the communication. This summer they lost our business performed work before we authorize the cost, tried to fix the mistake they made in the work to charge us more again before consulting us about the cost. And we’re told 4 to 5 times over the last two weeks that The area manager would be calling us To try and resolve the issue. Not an honest place to take your vehicles.

Avoid Precision Auto Tune in Lakewood – Dishonest and Overpriced!
I had an awful experience at the Precision Auto Tune location in Lakewood. They charged me $500 for a $16 part, labor, and diagnostic, which was already ridiculous. But then they suddenly claimed I needed another $1,200 in repairs just to get my car out of the shop, including another $16 part. To make matters worse, they insisted I needed a brake flush and engine flush, which they quoted at an additional $850. After getting a second opinion from multiple mechanics, I was told these services were completely unnecessary.
The main guy, Scott, promised to notify me when my car arrived at the shop after being towed, but I never received any notification. They claimed to have called me multiple times, but I have no record of any calls, voicemails, or texts. Not being informed about your car's arrival and status is just basic customer service, which they completely failed at.
After this experience, I went to three different shops, all of which confirmed I was overcharged and likely misled by Precision Auto Tune in Lakewood. It’s important to note that this review is specifically about this location and not the franchise as a whole. It seems that since the new owner took over this location, they’ve started taking advantage of customers.
There are much more honest and reliable places to take your car. I strongly recommend avoiding the Precision Auto Tune in Lakewood if you want to save yourself from being overcharged and misled.

Been coming here for Oil and other services since three years ago.For oil service it was always around $100 or under, I understand inflation but yesterday they charged almost $150 for the same car using the same amount and type of oil, and in other places I checked afterward there was no inflation for oil service. You know, we the people are not stupid.

I was using them with my cars for the past 10 yrs, I am sad to say will never let them touch another one of my cars. They replaced the brakes on my wifes 2016 Lexus IS 300 last year, the brakes kept squeaking, last fall I took the car back in and they got me for a full brake job over 2k. Over the next 5 mos i advised them the brakes were still squeaking..they told me that was normal, the squeaking turned into screaming over the weekend. I took the Lexus to a a different mechanic and he showed me metal cheap brake pads that were scraping metal shavings into my wheel well, this explained the screeching..a few hundred dollars later and my car runs like new.....I will never come back!

Scott is awesome. He is honest and looks out for his customers. I live out of state, he made servicing elderly mother in law so easy. He was so patient and understanding.

BE SAFE!! STAY AWAY!The manager at this location put in writing that her employees destroying the ability to securely attache a battery with a barrack is not a safety concern. The work done by her employees voided the warranty on the installed battery. Cutting away the batteries' barrack attachment location means a battery can never be installed according to the manufacturer instructions. The vehicle is at a permanent increased risk of fire. This company can not be trusted. Keep yourself and your family safe and go elsewhere!

I have taken my vehicle here occasionally, and have generally been satisfied with the work. This review regards the sign and false advertizing. The sign gives services and prices. One reason I came in was for a synthetic blend oil change for $30. They gave me the bid for $83.49. When I asked why it was advertised for $30, I got a song and dance that corporate had not changed the sign since 2017, and they had no solution to that..Edit: I received a call from the manager. She apologized for the miscommunication, and reported to me that if the sign advertised a $30 oil change, they would honor it. I have been offered a free oil change for this or another vehicle, which has been entered in to my account record. I appreciate the conciliatory offer. They have made a genuine gesture to make it right.

Customer service and follow up was horrible:My check engine light came on for fuel vapor leaks (wasn’t the gas cap). Dropped my vehicle off on a Thursday, called them back Friday and they said the person who does the service would be back Monday. I flew out of town Sunday and came back Tuesday. Checked with them and the lady at the desk said they didn’t have the smoke system needed to trace the leak and that they would get one from their sister shops. Checked with them again Friday and the lady said they still didn’t have the equipment. I was not called, texted, or emailed about any of it. I even left my fiancés contact number in case I was still out of town. I was the one who had to initiate the communication and call in or stop by to see what was going on with my vehicle. I was respectful and patient every time I went in there. The lady did apologize each time which is fine, but after going back that Friday, I wanted to just take my business elsewhere. Though I wanted to say something, the patience in my heart held my tongue. I took my keys and left. I would have kept my vehicle there longer but the lack of communications was the tipping point for me.

I've been going here for services since 2018 and have had nothing but consistent and honest services..even a few freebies like when my driver's door wouldn't open and I had to resort to climbing out of the passenger side?..Above all out of all the shops I've visited Precision Tune in Steilacoom Washington is my go to sincerely with confidence, take care.

They gave me an honest overview of my vehicle's repair needs. Very knowledgeable in many vehicles.

Took my car for an inspection. I told the technician to check my wipers. He indicated they were ok and they were not!! The car was there for more than 3 hrs!!! I guess honesty is no longer a virtue for some. First time there, and definitely not going!!!!!

They were great up until maybe 2 years ago. Every time I've gone in recently they didn't realize I made an appointment, I could go in today and they'll say my wiper blades are cracked and need to be replaced then go in a month later with the same blades and they'll say they're perfect. I had to call 3 different times over 3 days because nobody would update my phone number on my account for some reason? So nobody could get a hold of me. Front desk didnt even ask what I was there for and just scheduled me for an oil change to get the line moving. Took 3 days and 3 phone calls to tell me that they weren't able to replace my blower because of the kind of car it is after quoting me a price to change the blower forrr my car. Just very disorganized and low quality with poor service all around which sucks cuz this used to be the only place I would bring my cars to.

If I could rate lower I would. I brought my 1993 F150 to get a new radiator. I dropped it off on Thursday at 11:00am before the new year weekend I picked up the truck on Tuesday morning. They said I have a leak from the thermostat housing. Me and a buddy took it to the house to get it checked. They didn't tighten a single bolt snug on the housing. Not only that but the transmission cooler lines weren't installed correctly. The top had a sliver of an O ring left and the bottom one didn't even have an O ring in it. I paid 500 dollars and had to fix everything but bolting in the radiator. Not only that the area manager was the one working on my truck. I would not recommend coming here unless you want to go behind them and fix everything again.

Had them inspect a vehicle I was interested in purchasing. They were very thorough, price was reasonable, and I was able to wait in their lobby.
