“It is the holiday season, the busiest time of the year, there’s only one window opened, one staff covering a very long line.I have been to other locations in the past, I’ve never seen only one window open in the holiday season. I hear other staffs working in the back.I feel quite bad for the only one staff working.Such a long long wait”

“This might be the best service I’ve ever had from USPS! The gentleman who helped me with my passport application named Leon, he’s very professional and polite.”

“I miss Arnie, he was always kind and helpful to me. But he's gone now, today is Thursday, Feb 23, 2023, and not even a holiday, and this post office's window NEVER OPENED TODAY. No staff, no explanation was posted. No one to take PO box rent payments, sell stamps, or collect payments to mail packages. Our locking mailboxes on the street are constantly getting broken into; we need our PO boxes and services. My issue is with their bosses: What is the postmaster trying to accomplish? Alienate and drive away customers? I feel punished as a Steilacoom resident, Mr Postmaster. We are 6000+ residents here who need this Post Office to remain open and functional.”

“Super busy, but the staff there are rockstars! Especially when I made a huge mistake at what location for my kids passport appointment. I wrote a review for the receipt they had given me...and if you see this one I hope you know it was a great one <3 I put all your names on. It takes a lot of patience to do what you guys do...and hope you know that we appreciate what you guys deal with each day!”

“MLK post office is my favorite. The sole employee there is like a friend. Like an uncle. Super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He's solution based too. Wouldn't trade him for anything. They aren't open weekends and close right at 4. Lunch from 1-2 so they are closed.”

“First off Deija is amazing. The other staff are pretty nice as well. I’m amazed at deijas positivity. It’s a relief in a usps. Usually pretty uncommon ? Especially given the holidays with the long lines and all. I enjoy the self service machine. That’s helpful when I’m shipping smaller items. The staff even walked me through it with out me having to ask for the help.”

“The employees at this location are always so nice. I went in to send my passport renewal application and I didn't really know what I was doing. Brittney didn't even second guess, just started assisting and literally filled everything out for me. So thankful she was willing to go above and beyond because I was stressed it do it wrong.”

“This is my favorite Post Office! I just love the atmosphere and people. I have become quite fond of Diane Barnes. She is always so positive and helpful! No matter how much stress, she never lets it show. I wish there were more people like her in this world. Such a ray of sunshine.”

“I was lucky to go to the post office when there were only 3 people in line. I had 12 large manilla envelopes to mail. It took 10 minutes from entering the post office to getting back into my car. Service was pleasant. There are so many questions and answers for mailing each packet, it gets kind of confusing if you are tired. The good news is that I mailed everything I needed to! It was a good time to go at 3 pm.”

“Business hours on their website are wrong as they have different hours for the counter, access to boxes and parcel pickup. The staff here are definitely more helpful and friendly than your average government agency. Very good as far as making sure the mail gets where it needs to go. Lines can get a bit long during peak hours so best to visit outside of them if you can.”

“After first visit here this will now be my go-to post office. Only downside may be that there’s no dedicated parking lot and they do close for lunch. It is a small office so be patient when it comes to reopening from lunchtime. Come early in the morning or late afternoon and you’ll be good to go. Hardly ever a wait.”

“Normally I think USPS is pretty horrible when it comes to customer service and user friendliness, but the ladies working at this location are so kind, helpful, and efficient they deserve the credit. Kudos to you!”

“I've had good experiences here, always been treated with respect over the years by all employees. I just time my trips between their required breaks or lunch, and everything has been chill. The wait is usually only a couple of minutes for service.”

“Bekka and the other gentleman at the front desk (Rafael I believe) are extremely helpful! It took multiple attempts, but they didn’t give up and worked together to find a piece of mail that had been redirected somehow. Great customer service!”

“Berna and Susan were absolutely fantastic and the sole reason I will continue to only use this post office! I came in with an item that was shaped in an odd fashion, and not only did they help me package my item, but they were extremely hospitable and went above and beyond to help me. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Jeremy was the most amazing help ever! I had accidentally ordered something online without filling my address in correctly, and the website, DHL, nor USPS would answer their phones so I went to my local post office in person. However, Jeremy helped me immediately by going out of his way and finding the route of my package, who would have it on their truck, and staying after hours to find it for me and let me come by the same day to pick it up. This was by far the best experience I’ve had with USPS and any local post office I’ve lived near in years. All of us have had a missing package at some point, and he related to my own issue and went out of his way to save my Christmas! Thank you so so much for intercepting the package before it was sent back to the seller so this gift could arrive in time. You’re the best!”
