I went there 10 years ago. Well I tried to renew my license today and had an issue, went back to cds and they gave me the paperwork to fix the issue no questions asked. I hope you don't go anywhere else for you CDL school

Honestly if you're on the fence whether you should join this school or not. DO IT!. You will not be disappointed. John our instructor made the class fun but engaging and provided me with the tools I needed to pass the test on the first go. I highly recommend this school. If you need a CDL don't hesitate.

Took the Hazmat course. Going in to it, I thought I was in for a boring 16 hours. But Isy made it fun. She did a great job, and I passed the Hazmat and Tanker test first try thanks to her and the program! I took advantage of the online option. Love that that was an option!

Today, I passed my DOL cdl pretrip, backing, and drive exams on my first try, and it's all due to CDS instructor Tavy and the CDS school staff. Tavy taught me everything I needed to know to not only pass my tests but to also be a safe driver, he allowed me to make mistakes and then taught me what I needed to know to correct them and I actuallyused what I learnedfrom him to pass my exams. Also, Jess the Pre-Trip instructor was a huge help in preparing for my Pre-Trip, she was awesome to work with. Sara Fallowfield was instrumental in my success, the rest of the CDS staff helped me through the entire process. THANK YOU ALL!Anyone reading this if you're wanting to learn what you need to know to get your class A cdl, CDS is the school to go to. I didn't know anything about driving trucks when I walked into their classroom but through their dedication to teach me everything I needed to know, I passed my exams in one shot!!!Big shout out to CDS!!!!!

If your honestly thinking of getting your CDL don’t look any further than CDS! I attended @ the Lakewood campus & I’m lucky I did because there instructors are top notch!! These instructors actually care & as long as your willing to put in the work they’ll do anything to help you succeed. Thank you John Webster for not only believing in me, but for putting in the work & showing me the tools I’ll need to triumph in my new career as a Costco Business Delivery ? Driver!! ???

It’s taken me almost over a year to write this review but after therapy I no longer feel bad for it. I strongly advise against woman going to this location. Some instructors will have your driving lessons including driving by their home and then asking if you’d like to come in or driving you by a truck stop restaurant asking you to eat with them. I tried to be really understanding seeing as a lot of them were old but no one should have to feel that uncomfortable when trying to get a certification . I never finished and thankfully was leaving Washington but be advised of certain instructors and please speak out. I regret not doing so at the time.

I had an outstanding experience with CDS Commercial Driving School in Lakewood, and I can't recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, this school exceeded my expectations in every way possible.John, my main instructor, was great. His expertise and patience made the learning process smooth and enjoyable. He was always there to answer my questions and provide valuable insights.Michael, our classroom instructor, deserves a big shoutout too. His teaching style was engaging and informative, making even the most complex topics easy to grasp.In the field, Ian and Jessica were exceptional instructors. Their real-world experience and guidance were invaluable in honing our driving skills and pre trip. They provided constructive feedback and created a positive learning environment.The office staff at CDS was also a pleasure to work with. I recently attended CDS truck school in Lakewood, and I can say that it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The instructors, office staff, and the tools provided during the course exceeded my expectations in every way.First and foremost, Michael, John, and Cameron at CDS were absolutely phenomenal. Their expertise, patience, and dedication to teaching made the learning process smooth and enjoyable. They possessed an in-depth understanding of the trucking industry and were able to effectively communicate concepts in a manner that was easy to understand. Their guidance and support boosted my confidence behind the wheel, ensuring that I was fully prepared for the CDL examination.CDS goes above and beyond by providing the tools necessary for a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience. The vehicles and facilities were well-maintained, and their teachings mirrored real-life scenarios and practices. Whether it was practicing various maneuvers, mastering pre-trip inspections with their very own pre-trip coach Jessica, or attending the additional 16 hour HME class taught by Cameron, of which i can say I've never had a more enjoyable Hazmat class in my life, I rarely felt limited due to a lack of resources, and this allowed me to develop the crucial skills that were needed for my success. The instructors at CDS are top-notch. Micheal was very good at going over the in class portion for the general knowledge tests. Anja was awesome, and going on the test drives and explaining everything before you had to make a decision on what you needed to do. Jessica was amazing at helping with the pre trip in cab and outside walk around. Could not have had a better person for that portion. Then there's John. If you have the opportunity to be taught by him. He was the best. Very patient and understanding. Kept the conversation going which made the driving less stressful. Thank you, JOHN. The office staff is very friendly and helpful also. Would definitely recommend the CDS school to anyone wanting to be at the best place to get you CDL taken care of.

This school is great. All thanks to every single staff member there. They can teach you something that is difficult or may seem confusing and they will explain it in ways that are so simple. I took night classes and could not have asked for a better experience with my instructor Rodney. He is a beast at what he does and mostImportantly he’s an awesome guy to be around. I couldn’t thank him enough. I also got to thank Cameron for all the help he gave me and being a great classroom instructor as well. Also thank you to the office staff you guys freaking rock. I didn’t get to meet all of the staff but thank you all.

Great school, got into it knowing nothing about trucks and leaving with a CDL and all the endorsements i wanted to get. They will teach you everything you need to know to get your permit and everything. I failed my test the first time, but they dont give up on you. You keep practicing until you get it. You get what you put into it. The teachers are great, alot of them are former military so you get very assertive but clear instructions. My favorite teacher was Cameron he taught me the Hazmat class and helped me get some extra practice after i took the test once and failed it, and i passed my second try. They also help you find a job after you get your cdl.Overall 10/10, would recommend to anyone interested in getting a CDL.

Great school great instructors!!! Jerry is the true meaning of Old school truck driver! He's a great guy and instructor! So we're Tami and John. Cam was okay... Just playing there all great!!! Thank you all for your knowledge and training!!!!!
