Ordered and sent my bellhousing on the 30th September. Avoid if you are in the market for an M3 conversion kit.
After making the order and paying, customer service is non existent. Emails and online messages all go ignored. Promised it would be shipped a week ago however still no tracking update or any information given. Seems he likes taking the money but not fulfilling orders. I'm now left with half a gearbox left and a dead car and obviously out of pocket also.

Just finished installing the AMS e46 smg to manual conversion. Kit came with all the parts and directions. Turn around time was super quick for the bellhousing modification. Thank you Derek for a great product and the support.

Extremely dubious!!! I ordered and paid for parts in January. Until May there was no reply to my email and the parts had not arrived. After a horde of emails, I received an answer saying that you couldn't declare it through customs... I canceled the order. so far I have not received any parts or money. I'm still waiting for my 2900.-. This company is impossible!!

Is a SACAM! It has been a horrible experience with AMS Autogroup, they send you defective products and no matter how many photos you send them of the defective state of the part, they reply that the product is fine and that you broke it. Customer service is zero, no one helps you. Once you have made the payment, they disappear. I give them a 0. They should close this business.

A SCAM! It is a non-serious company. They send you completely defective products for your BMW and then they don't want to take charge of changing them or giving you a refund. Disastrous experience. Not recommendable.

beware; the owner is not responding to any form of attempt to reach him; multiple emails and multiple vm's - zero response; finally drove from gig harbor to lakewood to ams and they are out of business.

After you pay, their customer service becomes terrible, they respond whenever they want, after 1 month and a half of purchasing, I still haven't received the instructions, they don't answer the phone either.

Shady business, don't get involved. Little to no customer support. This company is ran by guys trying to make a quick buck, not enthusiasts, and definitely not people who know what they're talking about or selling. Won't respond to emails nor nor correct their wrongs. I smell a class action lawsuit in their future. Enough people with the same issue.

If you are in the market for an M3 manual conversion kit steer clear from here. They won’t refund your core back to you. After stuff is shipped their customer service is non existent. I am being ignored across multiple forms of contact. I can’t say I know how they are with the rest of their business but if they can’t refund me (and a few others I have come to find out) then they are not trustworthy.

The kit I ordered was great except the shifter knob was used and broken. All other parts worked as they should. The issue I have is that I still have not received my refund for the bell housing. I'm disappointed because I have another e46 to swap but I'm very hesitant to buy this again. I have continued to contact them for 2 months and have not received a response through text, email or calls. I would like to buy other products from them but they are very unreliable in communication.

I purchased the e46 m3 smg conversion kit. BIG MISTAKE!!! While chatting with AMS prior to purchase, I was told it would be a one day turn around from when they received my bellhousing. It took 3wks before I received my bellhousing back and it was MISSING many parts for the conversion. During this time AMS was selectively not responding to calls, responding to text messages or emails. (I should of known better when I realized you can't call the company and speak to a real person from there website). When I finally did get correspondence from someone, I was constantly being lied to. He would say he sent a package when he didn't, he would say he's a one man shop, but when items were missing from the kit he blamed it on his assistant. And had tons of excuses why things were late or I didn't receive them. Finally after a few weeks and me opening a case with paypal he sends another shipment. And it's still MISSING PARTS. I asked for a refund for parts and he refuses, Till this day I have not received 2 parts. I had to deal with this for close to 2 months. Finally he refunded me for the parts I did not receive. If you are looking for a smg to manual conversion kit go elsewhere... What a waste of time.Service: Transmission

I have been going to Derek for 4+ years. He has never been good at customer service, although he would get the work done. I have done and referred him over 30k+ in business but all of a sudden he won't reply when messaging him and can't even get a message. But my friend who had a more costly repair, he has no problem replying and squeezing in time to repair. Also I am not sure why more people don't leave reviews. Someone on Facebook recently posted that he took their car for years and wouldn't reply, also got parts stolen. I am done with AMS, although it may cost more to go to another shop, I don't believe is a trustworthy individual. He picks and chooses customers based on repairs.
