Facility and post treatment have been great but in hospital you don't always have the best people to share a room with to make healing easy.

Charged me 5 grand for 6 sessions of glorified group therapy and didn't send me a bill until Christmas and then illegally sold my debt to a collection agency.

I was 16 in there The day I was supposed to leave they upped my dose causing me to vomit and pass out when I went to talk to someone about it I was told it was no longer their problem because I was leaving that day (when my parents tried to call the dr voicemail was full so we never got help)I also saw a staff member grab another patient by the back of the chair and tell her “ your parents should have raised you better” then proceeded to yell at her to go to her room because she said she doesn't see the point of making a goal for the day (she was abused by her mom and dad as well)

Don't go here, it's not worth it, very underwhelming and not the best place for mental health and care.

They do not help you when you leave the treatment center. I needed emergency meds because I ran out and they keep transferring me to play phone tag. Do not go here. Other places that actually care.

I went to this facility looking for help during a bi-polar crisis. I arrived with my husband at 8:30am on a Tuesday morning. There was one person ahead of me at the time. I was greeted with "how can I help you" from a woman that has no business having the position of greeting ANYONE, much less people who NEED to be carefully and patiently informed about their intake procedure.31/2 hours later I left after realizing this psychiatric facility caters to addiction and detox which is where the big money is!! Another great WA state institution:)

If you care about your loved one, as many others say, do not send them there. I stayed there a couple years ago and the staff was incompetent, lazy, and uneducated. Staff and patients usually love to gaslight you because they have nothing better to do. Creepy doctors will push your room door open at night every hour or two and look at you. I feel i was misdiagnosed because they didn't care. At least there was one patient who had the decency to be nice to me :)

I highly recommend SSBH to anyone facing a mental health or well-being crisis. I voluntarily checked myself in with the help of my support system and was thrilled with the resources, remediation steps, and professional expertise they provided. For an example, as part of your treatment plan you can receive a therapist, social worker, doctor, and available meeting groups to discuss important mental health topics like depression and empowerment. Additionally, the staff was excellent and lead with their mission statement and H.E.A.L.I.N.G acronym when providing care. If you’re reading this and contemplating this facility for your mental health and available to participate in in-patient treatment, please use this as a sign to do so. I write this review with my upmost sincerity. Thank you SSBH!

Some of the staff are great and some need LOTS more training. They booted me out into the world without setting up an aftercare plan for me and people who were admitted after me recieved beds and transportation to aftercare/inpatient. It was a stressful experience and left me in a vulnerable position.Mixing substance abusers with people who are suicidal and Schizophrenic is not too great. They made me remove all my new piercings but when I got into my unit I counted more than 5 people who had many piercing still in.They discriminate for sure. Please do not send your loved ones here!

The Intensive Outpatient Program at South Sound Behavioral Health is excellent. I’ve never looked forward to group therapy like I do with Kristin in the lead. She knows the material well, selects relevant handouts, and handles unexpected triggers with skill and compassion. I am spending 9 hours a week in this group and it’s worth every minute.

I had friends who went here and were abused it not ok to drug people when they are in distress. The staff were crual to my friend and made there mental health worse by only giving pills and not counciling or support it not ok to threaten people when they ask questions. I do not recommend this place for anyone. #shutdownallinstitutions

Unless you would like your loved ones to be humiliated left in terrible conditions, possibly chemically restrained, not properly assessed as well as ignored by staff until they have to challenge their legal rights? Do not send your loved ones here whatsoever!!! If you have a loved one that claims they want to be admitted freely for help do not admit them there!!! GET THEM TO A BEHAVIORAL REHAB!!! NOT A PSYCH WARD!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!THEY WILL TRY TO ILLEGALLY DETAIN YOU!!! Bless both social workers for having human decency and empathy!!! Your loved one is not safe here!!

I have been to several facilities for my mental health. I have been here 3 times and every experience I have had has been exceptional. A few issues here and there with providers etc but all and all so much better than anywhere else.

You guys really messed me up. I am laying awake in bed mortified to sleep because of what I endured here. Intake was FISHY. I was made to look crazy. Something isn’t right and I don’t know what to do. Wouldn’t believe me even if I told you.-all the best#4
