I wanted to write a review but I needed to recover from the sheer exhaustion and stress of working with Chris Pettit: PRMG Lacey. As seasoned real estate investors, my spouse and I expected a smooth transaction. Instead we had the unfortunate experience of the most stressful, dramatic and error filled real estate transaction that we have ever encountered in 20 years.I felt I needed to write this review though, in case someone based on the stellar reviews of Chris Pettit: PRMG Lacey- which are a year old- decides to go ahead and participate in a lending soap opera:10 TIPS for your sanity:1. Always ask for everything in writing. Don't listen to the fast talk. Ask for the rates, fees, closing dates etc in writing. You will need to refer to it over and over.2. Apologize to your realtors, mine were two women. Tell them you've hired a guy who is quite condescending and you may fall in breach of contract because documents will be sent in at the very last minute. Take them to dinner and a comedy show after you close to say sorry for putting them through heck. I did.3. Don't talk on the phone too long. Even when it's interest rates you ask about it will derail. When Pettit starts quoting Bible verses know that your mortgage broker has just forgotten to take off his pastor hat and has begun proselytizing. I really didn't mind it at first. I love God too but the focus on preaching caused the transaction to nearly derail and Pettit's corresponding behavior of rudeness and condescension were completely contrary to what he preaches.4. Don't go into any more detail about your personal investment intentions than you need to. Or tolerate soft solicitations of "I'm looking for investors on a land deal for my church." That's not cool. Keep conversations short and about the transaction at hand- better yet keep it all in writing.5. Make sure you read that loan disclosure. Take out your calculator and do your own math. I had to correct the initial disclosures several times because the seller credits weren't correctly applied which meant $3000 of lost money for us. Even then the documents were still wrong even after we had already signed.6. Make sure that every item you put on your application is on the portal. You'll have to manage this because Chris Pettit: PRMG Lacey will not. You'll have to frantically upload documents over and over. And it will be on you to scramble because Chris Pettit: PRMG Lacey will blame you, your realtors, and his very own team instead of taking responsibility.7. Take whatever Pettit says with a grain of salt. Don't fall for promises of fast closing, easy underwriting, or promises that it will all go smoothly. Because it may or may not. Ours was not smooth- our experience with underwriting for example was like a colonoscopy gone wrong.8. On the day you sign, make sure your notary knows what he's doing. Ours had missing stamps etc. and required overnighting supplemental documents to correct it all.9. Know that even though you have signed your closing documents, you may receive an urgent call from the title company on the day of funding. Our transaction failed compliance because Chris Pettit: PRMG Lacey and his team missed details again. I had to drop everything and run to the bank get a cashiers check, bring docs to the title company, and resend verifications that were already on the portal. This is within a window of 2 hourS >STRESSFUL!10. PRMG is a privately held, family owned company who prides itself of family values. Im not reviewing the entire company. This is only my experience with Chris Pettit/ PRMG Lacey. There are other brokers out there and other PRMG offices. So that's a consideration. If you have any doubts whatsoever, call the Tacoma branch or Kris Pisha from the Puyallup PRMG branch. He is the regional manager. Or if you still decide to use Chris Pettit: PRMG Lacey, I hope your experience is better. But if it isn't, find the contact for Chris Sorensen on LinkedIn. He is the senior VP of PRMG corporate

Mark went above and beyond for us. From day one when we reached out to him he gave us hope and guidance. We had dreamed of home ownership for so long, and everywhere we turned we were told no. Mark said, not yet. Most people weren’t even willing to waste the amount of time we needed. He gave us a starting point, checked in often, and answered every single question we had along the way. For two years he answered every single question or scenario we ran by him. This by far wasn’t a quick process for us, and he never made us feel like we were any less for not being there quite yet. Hands down, Mark made our dream a reality !

Chris and team were the best during our home buying process, they helped us buy a home while stationed in Italy. Special thanks to our realtor Nicole Koch for also assisting us with the buying process 5,000 miles away and 9+ hour difference. They all had absolutely amazing communication and knowledge. We would recommend PRMG to anyone specially if buying with VA loan.

Chris Pettit and the staff at PRMG helped us navigate the stress of home purchasing while we were moving across the country to Olympia. He was knowledgeable and honest about the market and provided helpful insights when moving/home purchasing during a pandemic. He had outstanding customer service and really made us feel welcome in town when we arrived. We now own a home we love and Chris is a huge part of that. We highly recommend!

Chris and his team were in constant communication with us in the pre-qualifying and closing stages. Signing online was easy for all agreements and contracts, especially during quarantine. They made us feel like homeowners, even in the beginning stages. I appreciate their excellent customer service that we received every step of the way. Love the people at this company and I recommend them to anyone thinking of purchasing a home. We are literally living in the house of our dreams!

Chris Pettit is an extraordinary branch manager at PRMG in Lacey! I was absolutely amazed by how fast he worked and how knowledgeable he was as he navigated my seemingly very complicated financial situation. I had recently moved from Texas and had been working with a prominent VA lender near JBLM weeks prior to my arrival. A friend referred me to Chris when he heard I was paying out of pocket for hotel expenses. Once I sent Chris my info, he had an offer for me I couldn’t refuse WITHIN 3 HOURS! That other VA loan company ended up contacting me about a week later and said I was approved for a loan amount that was about $30k less than PRMG, and at a .5% higher APR. PRMG definitely has a superior product for its clients. This competitive edge, coupled with Chris’s experience and exceptional service, makes for an unbeatable combination. I really appreciate Chris and his team- they quickly got me out of a bad situation and into a home!
