Pearl was extremely rude at the cash register rolling her eyes and giving me and my wife dirty looks. We won't be returning to Petco anytime soon. If you want great food for your cat/ dog check out Mudbay. Mudbay consistently offers great customer service and the employees don't act like it's an inconvenience to assist you.

When I need pet supplies, this is my go-to store. I love the open concept, which makes navigating through the store a breeze. They have a fantastic section for cats available for adoption, which I appreciate. Their pet grooming services are also excellent. Overall, it's my favorite place to shop for pet essentials.

I took my dog in today a regular bath and as soon as i got the text that she’s ready for pick up I went in because I was only outside just waiting. And when I got her she asking wet not dry. And they try to tell me she spilled a water bowl so they trying to dry her up. No she is wet from head to toe to her tail. And they add shedding less care appointment which is fine. But she is shedding more than when i brought before. It’s basically hair from not being dry because if they dry her properly all those loose dog hair would have fly away but she’s soaking wet so it wouldn’t. They probably think oh her owner would take forever to come get her so they just air dry her. I was outside the store just waiting for her to be done. And she smelled like wet dog. Like she didn’t even get a bath. It was also 5pm so do they trying to rush get home. But still I paid for the service and the wasn’t done properly. I basically give her a bath again when we got home and dry her up properly.and her nail didn’t get cut at all.

I normally love Petco and their grooming, but was pretty disappointed with this location. I scheduled online several days ago for a 2:45 appointment today (5/19). I filled out the pre-groom questionnaire, as I always do. I got a call today around 1:40, but didn't answer because I wasn't sure who it was and no VM was left. At 2:03, when I was about to leave, I got a text saying I needed to call to answer some questions. When I called, they told me they were cancelling my appointment because my dog has separation anxiety and is reactive around other dogs. I have always made this clear and it's never been a problem with other Petco salons, they just say that he'll be away from others. He's never had problems with people, so I'm not sure why this was an issue all of a sudden. I think there should be a very forward policy/notice that these dogs aren't taken if this is an issue. And some more heads up would have been nice.

Gray is really gentle with my very anxious elder dog and my very wild younger dog. They handle my pups with ease and calmness every time - my pups’ energies never seem to phase Gray. Services with Gray are efficient and superb!

Wonderful! The staff there is amazing. The front service rep (Sarah?) was so helpful. Even though it was loading day she made sure I was taken care of & went out of her way to make sure I could get what I needed that day. Even if it meant pulling out crickets that hadn’t had a chance to be put away yet. I’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks for going the extra mile ???

I just recently adopted 2 puppies and went shopping for them.. the customer service I received was wonderful and so helpful. I signed up for the premium care program and I save so much $ every month plus I earn savings at petco when I go to my vet.. the groomers are so nice too..my little shih tzu was so cute after his first time..

Fish enthusiasts, please read…and don’t shop here!! Support fish stores that care for the animals they make millions on ??
Last week I visited this location and ended up leaving feeling sick to my stomach.
While browsing the community tanks I happened upon a 20 or 30 gallon tank with at least 60 white skirt tetras. That in and of itself is bad, however, for some strange reason there were 4 female betta fish fighting for their lives inside the same tank. Along with 4 more being acclimated. I ended up buying 3 of the bettas that seemed to be in the roughest shape…just to give them a fighting chance at life.
I asked the associates why they would choose to house bettas with known fin nipping fish and I was told they were ordered to do by corporate.
This confuses me because no other petco location does this. I’ve been to Tacoma stores, puyallup, Lakewood, federal way, etc. and I’ve never seen females bettas 1) in the same tank together and 2) inside an overpopulated tank with fish that will slowly eat away at them.
I understand bettas are common and mass bred. I understand very many pass away in the little cups I normally see them in at petco locations.
However, to house them this way is animal cruelty. If this really is an order from corporate I would love to be put in contact with the person in charge of these decisions.
It would truly be more humane to flush these fish, rather than let them slowly be tortured to death.
The associates were nice enough to give me half off on the bettas, considering one was completely shredded and near death. The others were in better shape but still had chunks missing from their fins. Each betta was given their own fully cycled and planted 5 gallon tank, along with medications to repair the damaged tissues.
The betta that was near death unfortunately passed after a few hours. She was beyond saving…all she did was rest and come up for air a few times before she passed away. At least she got to pass in peace.
The other bettas are still alive and getting stronger everyday. Soon they will join more female bettas in an appropriate, densely planted 40g betta sorority tank and live out their days in peaceful harmony.
Hopefully the stress of this stores negligent actions won’t cut their life too short.
Do better petco. This is animal abuse.
